Our client is a leading and fast-growing indigenous company with strong operations in Petroleum Haulage, Trucking Logistics, and Oil & Gas Services. The company operates a large fleet for downstream distribution and provides logistics support to major players in the Oil & Gas value chain.

Due to strategic expansion, they seek to engage a high-calibre Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide strategic leadership, drive operational excellence, and ensure sustainable growth across all business operations.

JOB SUMMARY

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day operations, fleet management, haulage operations, and oil & gas logistics services. He/She will ensure operational efficiency, cost optimization, regulatory compliance, and achievement of overall business objectives while reporting directly to the Managing Director/CEO.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide strategic leadership and overall operational direction for truck haulage and oil & gas logistics operations nationwide.
• Oversee end-to-end fleet operations, dispatch, maintenance, safety, and route management to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability.
• Drive operational efficiency, cost control, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all operational units.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements (NMDPRA, FRSC, NUPENG/PTD) and Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) standards.
• Manage P&L, budgets, and operational KPIs, ensuring business sustainability and growth.
• Lead, mentor and manage Operations Managers, Fleet Managers, HSE and Logistics teams for high performance.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients (IOCs, Major Marketers, Depot Owners), vendors, and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare and present operational reports, business performance reviews, and strategic recommendations to the Board.
