Credit Review Officer at Kaylog Economic Freedom Campaign (KEFC)

Job Summary

• We are seeking a Credit Review Officer to join our Risk and Compliance Team — a professional who will ensure that credit processes meet policy standards and that portfolio quality remains strong and sustainable.
• The Credit Review Officer will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews of loan applications and existing credit portfolios to ensure compliance with Kaylog’s credit policies, internal controls, and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Review loan applications, documentation, and approvals to ensure adherence to Kaylog’s credit policy and CBN microfinance guidelines.
• Conduct post-disbursement credit reviews and risk-based monitoring of the loan portfolio.
• Identify credit weaknesses, policy breaches, and potential risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Credit Officers, Branch Managers, and Recovery Teams to enhance portfolio performance and minimize risk exposure.
• Prepare periodic credit review and risk assessment reports for management decision-making.
• Support the Compliance and Internal Control Units in maintaining portfolio integrity.
• Recommend improvements to credit procedures, appraisal templates, and risk evaluation standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 1 years’ experiencein credit analysis, credit review, or risk management within a microfinance or commercial banking environment.
• Sound understanding of credit appraisal, loan documentation, and portfolio monitoring.
• Excellent analytical, report-writing, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other loan management systems
• Strong sense of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
