Your Role and Responsibilities
The Country General Manager is responsible for achieving the operational budgets (signings, revenue, profit, and cash flow growth), executing the cross-IBM strategy for the market, and developing strategies according to the market and region size, capabilities, and critical mass. He/she is responsible for integrating IBM for clients and aligning IBM with the country national agenda for economic development.
In addition, the CGM is responsible for driving sales and pipeline management and progression, as well as managing resources and skills development. He/she is responsible for executing with integrity and is accountable for satisfactory business controls. Influences Functional Strategy

Introduction
Nigeria is a strategic market within West Africa and for the IBM interests in the African Growth Market. Many of the IBM focus industries are present in Nigeria and while our core business within the region is Banking, there are opportunities to work with Telecommunications, Public Sector, Oil & Gas and Manufacturing companies.
As a result, it is imperative that IBM West Africa capture some of these spend. To ensure success in this space, IBM is currently looking to hire a Country Manager, a senior resource with strong influence, within the market, who will lead the IBM Business in Nigeria. A bigger attribute will be someone with high integrity standard.
The General Manager who will report into the African Growth Organisation, will be responsible for IBM's overall business in Nigeria with a focus on deploying IBM’s advanced technology capabilities in Cognitive, Cloud Computing, Big Data and Analytics, Mobile and Security to solve current and future needs of institutions in key economic sectors across the country. He/she will also provide leadership for IBM’s relationships and Corporate Social initiatives in the Civil Society, ICT and Academic communities.
