    Chef

    Job Description:

    As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, preparing and presenting high-quality meals, and ensuring that all food is prepared according to our established standards. You will lead a team of cooks, manage inventory, and contribute to the creative development of our menu.

    Responsibilities:

    • Menu Planning & Development: Design and create innovative, seasonal menus that align with the restaurant’s concept, and keep dishes fresh and exciting.
    • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook high-quality meals while maintaining consistency, presentation, and flavor.
    • Leadership & Supervision: Manage and guide a team of kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and prep cooks, ensuring a high standard of performance, organization, and cleanliness.
    • Inventory Management: Oversee food inventory, ordering, and proper storage of ingredients to minimize waste and ensure the kitchen operates efficiently.
    • Quality Control: Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations and is served to the highest quality.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and address any guest concerns or special requests regarding food.
    • Training: Train and develop kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to cooking techniques, safety protocols, and company standards.
    • Cost Control: Monitor food costs and portion sizes, making sure the kitchen operates within budgetary guidelines.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role, with a deep understanding of culinary techniques and kitchen management.
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
    • Creative, innovative, and detail-oriented with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.
    • Formal culinary education (preferred but not required).
    • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
