Assistant Accountant at Auldon Limited

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to support our finance operations in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will assist in managing daily financial tasks, maintaining accurate records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall accounting function to ensure smooth business operations. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports. 
• Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and other financial transactions. 
• Reconcile cash, POS transactions, bank statements, and inventory-related financial entries. 
• Process invoices, receipts, payments, and vendor documentation. 
• Support payroll preparation by providing necessary data and verification. 
• Assist in managing petty cash and ensuring proper documentation. 
• Monitor and update accounts payable and receivable. 
• Help prepare financial statements and support audits when necessary. 
• Work closely with the store manager, inventory team, and finance department to ensure accuracy of financial data. 
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.

 Qualifications & Requirements 

• HND/B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 
• 3–5 years of accounting experience (experience in a retail environment is an added advantage). 
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar). 
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail. Good communication and organisational skills. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Integrity, confidentiality, and strong problem-solving skills.
