Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and skilled in financial management? The Musical Copyright Society Nigeria (MCSN) is seeking a diligent Accounting Officer to oversee financial transactions, ensure accuracy in reporting, and support the organization's financial operations in Oyo.
Responsibilities
Financial Management: Process payments, invoices, and receipts, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions.
Budget Monitoring: Assist in preparing budgets and tracking expenses to ensure financial efficiency.
Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and verify the accuracy of financial records.
Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for management review.
Tax Compliance: Assist in ensuring compliance with tax regulations, including filing returns and managing statutory deductions.
Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits.
Record Maintenance: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records in compliance with organizational policies and standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Knowledge of financial regulations and standards in Nigeria.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Professional certifications such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalents are an advantage.
