Finance & Accounting Manager at a Reputable Company

We are seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to lead and build the finance and accounting function of a growing Microfinance Bank. The role combines accounting, financial planning, compliance, and team building. The ideal candidate will help set up strong financial systems, ensure regulatory compliance, and build a scalable finance team from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and management reports
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for microfinance operations
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Oversee cashflow, liquidity, and reconciliations
• Build and manage a small finance and accounting team
• Develop internal controls and financial processes
• Support audits and regulatory reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional qualification (ICAN / ACCA)
• Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
• 5+ years relevant experience (banking, microfinance, fintech preferred)
• Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge
• Experience in budgeting, reconciliation, and regulatory compliance
• Proven ability to supervise or build a small team
