JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for managing local and regional sales and marketing experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct extensive market research on the business environment and continuous gathering of information throughout the life of the business.
• Develop strategic plans and sales strategies to promote profitability
• Develop marketing strategies and serve as primary strategy adviser to the marketing business unit and management.
• Conduct periodic analysis of business data
• Set sales quotas.
• Advise the sales representatives on ways to improve sales performance.
• Analyze sales statistics gathered to determine sales potential and inventory requirements to monitor customers.
• Build client relationships and network with other prospective partners, vendors, agencies and establish a support group.
• Forecast future sales team expenditure.
• Enhance existing revenue streams and develop new ones.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Must possess sound knowledge and understanding of the Travel Industry.
• Must possess good relationships with stakeholders in the industry.
• Must be sales target oriented with a good sales achievement track record.
• Must be able to start and finish the sales process
• Highly intelligent and can work under pressure with little or no supervision.
• Adaptability to a proactive and flexible approach to work and be comfortable with a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities.

Other Requirements and Qualifications:

Education and Training:

• Must possess a good university degree
• An MBA is also an added advantage.

Work Experience:
A minimum of 10 years related experience in Sales and the Travel and Tourism sector.
