    Facility Officer

    Details:

    Facility and Asset Management

    • Ensures proper maintenance and implements approved processes for managing non-production assets. 
    • Complete daily facilities maintenance checklist & carry out weekly inspections of GZI's facilities; reports any identified defects to the HR Manager.
    • Renewal of necessary licenses, permits, insurance premiums and ensures prompt payment of bills when due.
    • Responds effectively to all facility related queries and complaints, using effective listening, questioning and problem-solving skills.
    • Orders and manages all facilities requests for GZI, provide first line contact for the Facilities Department for all internal and external customers/contractors.
    • Supports the Facilities Budget preparation process, records and monitors all costs and expenses (Administration, Cleaning, Security, Engineering and Building).
    • Monitors and maintains adequate stock levels of all provisions and consumables.

    Vendor Management

    • Monitors level of service delivery by contractors and vendors.
    • Supervises and monitors the activities of the outsourced staff.
    • Recommend improvements to the quality of services provided by service providers.
    • Obtains monthly reports from various suppliers and vendors outlining the service used or provided.

    People Management

    • Supervises the activities of the subordinates, and ensures the quality of work meets with performance expectations.
    • Reviews/inspects work carried out by subordinates.

    JOB REQUIREMENT

    • Minimum of first degree or HND in Estate Management, Engineering or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in facilities management or a related field
    • Should possess Vocational Certifications such as Trade Test Certificate, NABTEB, etc.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, project management
    • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills required.
    • Must be detailed, organized, a good communicator and result oriented.
