As a Support engineer you will join a team and will have the opportunity to add excellent value in a range of projects involving Implementations, support, monitoring and upgrades deployments.

As a Network Engineer, you will be at least CCNA certified and will be responsible for monitoring traffic using TAPs equipment across the Network.

Qualifications:

• CCNA and MCSE certifications
• Detailed knowledge of IOS and routing protocols
• Large Chassis Switches and Layer 2 Networking VLANs, QinQ
• PIX and ASA firewalls
• VOIP/IPT technologies
• Cisco Wireless LAN’s
• SAN (Cisco MDS)
• Cisco F5 Load Balancers ACE
• VPN configuration and management
• Exposure to managed WAN technologies (DWDM/VPLS/MPLS desirable)
• Performance troubleshooting using packet sniffers
• Experience troubleshooting, designing and implementing network solutions, ideally in a large corporate environment.
• Strong previous experience of running a LAN & WAN Cisco environment.
• Ability to respond to & resolve ad-hoc requests in a quick & efficient manner.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ambitious and pro-active attitude with a passion to self develop.

It would be added advantage if candidate possess experience in any of the following: -

• TAPs Equipment
• Packet Flow Switches
• Packet Capture Appliances
• NetFlow Collectors
• Experience of Cisco Nexus Technologies/NXOS and NetScout Product Solutions

Duties:

• Interface with clients, project manager, supervisor and field engineer
• Weekly report to the Service delivery manager
• Resolve technical issues with team on the field
• Review and evaluate requests from engineers, managers, and technicians for system modifications.
• Prepare system activity and performance reports.
• Supervise maintenance of telecommunications equipment.
• Develop, maintain, or implement telecommunications disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
• Test and evaluate hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability, or compatibility with existing systems.
• Provide user support by diagnosing network and device problems and implementing technical or procedural solutions.
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to prepare or evaluate network diagrams, floor plans, or site configurations for existing facilities, renovations, or new systems.
• Order or maintain inventory of telecommunications equipment, including telephone sets, headsets, cellular phones, switches, trunks, printed circuit boards, network routers, and cabling.
• Monitor and analyze system performance, such as network traffic, security, and capacity.
• Instruct in use of voice and data communications systems, such as voicemail and videoconferencing systems.
• Inspect sites to determine physical configuration, such as device locations and conduit pathways.
• Implement system renovation projects in collaboration with technical staff, engineering consultants, installers, and vendors.
• Must be a computer literate
• Must have good communication and interpersonal skill
• Excellent use of excel and PowerPoint

Qualifications:

• Candidate must hold a degree in Engineering or any other Science related discipline.
• Minimum of Second class degree or Higher National Diploma from a reputable institution.

Years of Experience: 1 Year.
