Qualifications
Candidate to be appointed for the post must:

• Be a Professor
• Be of proven integrity
• Have requisite qualities and qualifications for providing dynamic leadership to the University
• Be of proven intellectual standing with requisite Credentials confirming outstanding academic and other achievements
• Be a man of honour arid integrity
• Have a personality that is likely to gain respect from staff and students of the University
• Be morally upright and capable of running the University administration with justice equity and fairness
• Be a man of distinction capable of taking right decisions and following laid down procedures
• Be proficient in Information and Communication Technology (IT)
• Be of good health and free from pecuniary embarrassment

Terms and Conditions

• The Vice-Chancellor shall hold office for a single term of five (5) years only on such terms and conditions as may be specified in the Letter of Appointment.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a good second class honours degree or its equivalent with eighteen (18) years cognate experience, six (6) years of which must have been spent in a University.
• Possession of a higher degree or membership of a professional administrative body in the relevant field is an added advantage.
• In addition, candidate must have spent three (3) years on managerial position.
• He or she must have proven leadership qualities, proven ability for job planning, programming and high integrity and of good character plus satisfactory confidential report from previous employer.

Basic Salary
Basic salary and benefits remain within the range of the approved emoluments for the post in accordance with the University System and consent of the Council.
