About the Role

• We are seeking a hands-on UI / UX Designer to join our Product team. As a UI / UX Designer, you will partner with our data engineers, product team leads, and logistics teams.
• Your job will involve participation in ideation sessions and you will be expected to translate complex problems into simple solutions.
• You must be passionate, a great communicator and motivating to those around you; at the same time, maintain the highest level of craftsmanship.

What You'll Do

• Work with stakeholders to lead design projects across the entire life cycle from ideation to launch
• Create multiple concepts, translate them to high fidelity designs, and prototype interactions
• Maintain our design system and contribute ways to work more efficiently
• Move fluidly between tools, as we use a combination of Figma, UXPin, Sketch, ProtoPie and Adobe CC
• Iterate based on feedback, initiate A/B testing, and follow through on user research
• Assist with technical implementation and uphold quality assurance of project builds.

What it Takes

• 3+ years of UX design experience and a portfolio that showcases UX, visual design skills, and interaction 
• A passion for solving problems using design 
• Experience building products for web, tablet, and mobile form factors
• Experience conducting usability studies and interacting with end users/clients
• Full cycle designer from concept through to solution, polish and asset creation
• Excellent communication skills
• Expert level user of design, presentation, and communication tools
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Javascript frameworks like React

About the Position

Lori is looking for a talented and proven Business Development Manager to join our team, grow our customer base, and increase the adoption of our enterprise platform. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director and Product Operations Manager at Lori to ensure the exponential growth of our customer base across West and East African markets. Primary Responsibility

• Build out the sales pipeline for Lori’s enterprise platform and drive movement across the funnel from initial contact to closed sales
• Drive increased adoption of Lori’s enterprise platform and ensure all features are utilised 
• Work with the customers to understand challenges to adoption and escalate problems to the relevant parties
• Live and breathe Lori’s clients’ day to day and understand every part of their experience
• Report on the weekly and monthly status of sales pipeline and platform adoption
• Grow the enterprise platform’s customer base and the Gross Transaction Value - in line with the organisational targets
• Provide relevant information on Lori’s platform and services to customers and identify upselling opportunities
• Identify qualified leads and potential business opportunities through networking activities and personal network when possible, and connect point person of target companies to the Managing Director 

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree 
• Proven track record of success moving deals across the sales cycle - from initial contact to closed sales
• Minimum 4 years experience in a sales and/or client relationship management role
• Experience running training sessions and driving adoption of technology products 
• Demonstrated ability to set and achieve ambitious goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment 
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Solid analytical and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Google Suite
• Self-motivated, proactive and positive attitude

Responsibilities:

• Assist other engineering teams in maintaining of software in ensuring at least 99.99%
  availability of the platform
• Maintain our code deployment and management infrastructure
• Help Define framework and tools to be used in management of code quality across the
  engineering organization
• Partnering with engineering teams to automate & optimize service availability, scalability,
  performance, monitoring, and alerting.

Skills And Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience working with server-side programming languages, preferably python
• Experience with microservices.
• Deep knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of best practices in continuous delivery and continuous integration.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools and workflows, such as Git/Gitflow
• Working knowledge of GraphQL will be an added advantage
• Proven experience supporting a distributed architecture
• Strong Familiarity with Azure & Amazon Web Services.
• Deep understanding of configuration management, automation, and infrastructure-as-code tools (for example, Ansible, Terraform, Salt, or Puppet).

Lori is seeking a Mid or Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join it’s diverse technical team. You’ll have the flexibility to work remotely and the opportunity to shape products that are currently used across East and West Africa, and soon beyond. What you will Do:

• Develop scalable software systems (for front-end & back-end). 
• Deploy software updates to marketplaces (e.g., AWS Marketplace, Azure Marketplace).
• Perform QA and peer review on existing infrastructure & related processes against the company’s software development standards.
• Support automation around the IT infrastructure and in alignment with company processes and regulatory frameworks such as GDPR (e.g., implement scripts to create, teardown, migrate & recreate environments).
• Perform technical design reviews of software and IT infrastructure, develop proof-of-concept solutions in the R&D service and deploy to production service.
• Manage the lifecycle of multiple cloud environments with extensions to on-premise high-performance computing facilities that run AI/ML processes (e.g., implement health monitoring and alerting).
• Provide environment support and training to delivery teams to maximize efficiency and advocate DevOps principles and coach product teams, which will extend to AI/MLOps.

What it Takes:

• 5+ years of commercial experience in full software development lifecycle.
• 2+ years working with AWS and/or Azure (using IAM/AAD, keyvault, S3/blob storage, lambdas/azure functions, web apps, queues, database, and managed services/products – e.g., DynamoDB/CosmosDB).
• 2+ years in agile methodologies (ideally via JIRA) and working with serverless architectures and event-driven architectures.
• 2+ years developing microservices, API-driven cloud-based products including performance management.
• Strong background scripting with typescript/JavaScript, python & using web frameworks (e.g., react, node, flask, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines on git-based commercial source control or similar (e.g., GitHub including Actions, GitLab, Bitbucket, etc.).
• Knowledge of infrastructure as a code with cloud formation/ARM templates, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Experience using Linux Server Administration including container technology & ecosystem (Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus) linked to AAD.

Added Advantage:

• Experience with integrating African-powered fintech or logistics platforms or similarly regulated verticals and environments.
• Knowledge in Dashboards (ideally via Grafana or Power BI).
• Exposure to networking, telecommunications, and OSI model.
• Experience with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, etc.).
• Working knowledge of ISO 27000, ITIL, or similarly regulated environments.
• Expertise in CRM & ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, MS Dynamics).
