    Programme Manager

    Initial Contract: One year, renewable based on exceptional performance

    Reporting Line: SCHAF Management, as designated by the Board of Trustees

    Expected Start Date: 1 October 2026

    OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION

    The Programme Manager will coordinate the planning, implementation, documentation and reporting of SCHAF’s programmes, meetings, research activities, partnerships and stakeholder engagements.

    The successful candidate will work with SCHAF’s leadership, healthcare facilities, partner organisations, volunteers and beneficiaries to ensure activities are properly organised, documented and delivered on schedule.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Programme and Event Coordination

    • Organise programme outreach activities, workshops and meetings.
    • Prepare schedules, agendas, invitations, attendance registers and logistics.
    • Prepare minutes, activity reports and action trackers.
    • Follow up agreed actions, deadlines and implementation challenges.

    Documentation and Records

    • Maintain organised physical and electronic programme records.
    • Maintain databases of beneficiaries, partners, volunteers, donors and stakeholders.
    • Prepare periodic programme, management and impact reports.
    • Ensure confidentiality of beneficiary and medical information.

    Stakeholder and Hospital Engagement

    • Maintain professional communication with healthcare facilities, government agencies, partner organisations and volunteers.
    • Follow up partnership opportunities and agreed activities.
    • Undertake approved visits to hospitals including RRSH, Oni Memorial, Adeoyo and University College Hospital.
    • Support enrolment and follow-up of PLWSCD and prepare visit reports.

    Research and Funding Support

    • Support SCHAF’s research activities, literature searches and preparation of research summaries.
    • Identify grants, donor prospects, partnerships, training opportunities and relevant funding calls.
    • Maintain an updated grant tracker covering donor, eligibility, deadline and application status.
    • Support preparation of concept notes and funding applications.

    Website, Social Media and Administration

    • Monitor SCHAF’s website, Facebook page and approved communication platforms.
    • Respond to or appropriately direct public enquiries.
    • Support preparation of programme updates, photographs and impact stories.
    • Assist with correspondence, filing, printing, scanning, telephone calls and programme materials.
    • Supervise volunteers, interns or support personnel where required.

    KEY DELIVERABLES

    The Programme Manager will be expected to produce:

    • Monthly programme and meeting calendars.
    • Timely minutes, event and outreach reports.
    • Updated beneficiary, stakeholder, volunteer and partner databases.
    • Hospital and facility-visit reports.
    • Monthly grant and funding-opportunity trackers.
    • Research summaries and supporting documentation.
    • Action-follow-up reports.
    • Quarterly programme, partnership and achievement summaries.
    • Records of public enquiries and referrals.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    Applicants should possess:

    • A bachelor’s degree or HND in Public Health, Health/Biological Sciences, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Administration, Project Management, Communications or a related discipline.
    • At least three years’ relevant professional experience in programme management, administration, healthcare, research, community development or non-profit work.
    • Experience with an NGO, healthcare organisation, research institution or community organisation will be an advantage.
    • Strong writing, documentation, organisational and record-management skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, virtual meetings and Internet research.
    • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
    • Must reside in Ibadan; the role is primarily home-based, with office attendance and local visits as required.
    • Excellent written and spoken English; Yoruba will be an advantage.

    PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

    • The preferred candidate should be compassionate, dependable, proactive and highly organised, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement.
    • The candidate should be comfortable working with PLWSCD, healthcare professionals, researchers, volunteers and community members, and should demonstrate genuine commitment to health advocacy and social impact.

    REMUNERATION AND CONDITIONS

    • Remuneration will remain confidential and will be determined based on qualifications, experience and SCHAF’s approved budget.
    • Approved official expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with SCHAF procedures.
    • Applicants should state their expected gross monthly remuneration.

    The successful candidate may be subject to an initial probationary period and performance assessment.
