IT Support Officer at Integrated Dairies Limited (IDL)

Role Description

• This is a full-time, on-site Information Technology Support Officer role based in Jos. The role involves providing day-to-day technical support for networking, cyber-security, ERP infrastructure, website management, and IT systems across the organization.
• Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining software and hardware, as well as diagnosing and resolving technical issues for end users.
• The IT Support Officer will monitor system performance, apply security best practices, perform regular backups, and ensure business-critical applications and infrastructure operate reliably.
• The role also covers repairs, preventive maintenance, documentation of IT procedures, and collaboration with other departments to support smooth business operations.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Technical Support and Information Technology skills, with experience in general IT operations within an enterprise environment.
• Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting abilities, including diagnosing, resolving, and escalating hardware, software, and network issues.
• Candidates should possess hands-on experience working with Computers, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and performance optimization.
• Candidates should possess Printer Support skills, including setup, maintenance, and resolution of printing and connectivity problems.
• Relevant skills in networking (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches), cyber-security (antivirus, firewalls, access control), and ERP systems administration are highly beneficial.
• Experience in website management, including basic updates, security monitoring, and coordination with web hosting providers, is an advantage.
• A Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, along with industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco) as an added advantage.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and a customer-focused approach to supporting.
