    Team Lead - Finance and Control

    Job Summary

    • The Team Lead - Finance and Control will oversee the financial reporting and control activities of the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, robust internal controls, and efficient financial operations. 
    • This role includes managing a team, optimizing financial processes, and providing strategic insights to support organizational growth and sustainability.

    Key Responsibilities
    Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare and review accurate financial statements in compliance with IFRS or applicable standards.
    • Ensure timely submission of statutory financial reports and filings.

    Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Develop, monitor, and manage budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Analyze budget variances and provide actionable management insights.

    Internal Controls and Compliance:

    • Design and implement effective internal control systems.
    • Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and company policies.
    • Oversee audits (internal and external) and address findings promptly.

    Treasury and Cash Management:

    • Monitor cash flow and ensure optimal working capital management.
    • Manage relationships with financial institutions and oversee banking operations.

    Team Leadership:

    • Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals.
    • Conduct performance reviews and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.

    Process Optimization:

    • Identify and implement opportunities for improving financial processes and systems.
    • Leverage technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

    Strategic Advisory:

    • Collaborate with senior management to align financial strategy with organizational goals.
    • Provide financial analysis to support business decisions and initiatives.

    Qualifications and Requirements
    Educational Background:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
    • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is an added advantage.

    Professional Certifications:

    • Chartered Accountant (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CPA) or equivalent qualification is mandatory.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in finance, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
    • Experience in financial control, reporting, and regulatory compliance is required.

    Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Knowledge of IFRS and other relevant financial standards.

    Soft Skills:

    • Strong leadership and people management abilities.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Effective communication and presentation skills.
    • High attention to detail and organizational skills.

    Other Requirements:

    • Knowledge of local regulatory frameworks (e.g., tax laws, industry-specific regulations).
    • Experience in a similar industry (e.g., financial services, asset management) is an advantage.

    Investment Analyst

    Key Responsibilities
    Portfolio Management:

    • Manage and oversee investment portfolios, ensuring optimal asset allocation and performance.
    • Conduct regular portfolio reviews and rebalancing to meet investment objectives.

    Investment Analysis:

    • Perform in-depth analysis of potential investment opportunities, including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments.
    • Utilize financial models and valuation techniques to assess investment risks and returns.

    Strategy Development:

    • Develop and implement investment strategies that align with the organization's goals and risk tolerance.
    • Stay updated on market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes affecting the Nigerian capital market.
    • Develop customized investment solutions for clients based on their objectives and risk profiles.

    Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including SEC regulations.
    • Prepare regulatory reports as required.

    Reporting:

    • Prepare and present detailed investment reports to the management team and clients.
    • Communicate investment performance, strategies, and market outlook effectively.

    Qualification

    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
    • Advanced degrees (e.g. ICAN, ACCA) are highly desirable.

    Professional Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of investment management experience within the Nigerian capital market.
    • Demonstrable experience in managing investment portfolios, including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments such as Commodities.
    • Ability to make informed investment decisions and manage risks effectively.
    • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in the Nigerian capital market.
    • Strong analytical, quantitative, and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
    • High ethical standards and integrity.

    Experienced Trader / Broker (Financial Markets)

    Job Summary

    • Are you an experienced broker ready to trade investment instruments across multiple markets, with a dynamic, results-driven mindset and strong research skills?

    Key Responsibilities

    • Trade investment instruments across multiple markets, maximising returns.
    • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify profitable opportunities.
    • Develop and execute trading strategies in line with market trends and risk management principles.
    • Monitor market movements and adjust strategies accordingly.
    • Collaborate with the portfolio management team to enhance decision-making with data-driven insights.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
    • 3–5 years of experience in financial trading with a proven track record of success.
    • CIS qualification (Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers) is required.
    • Experience in market research and technical/fundamental analysis is an added advantage.
    • Possesses a strong understanding of global financial markets, trading platforms, and investment instruments.
    • Excellent communication skills.
