    Senior Manager, People Business Partner

    Job Purpose

    • The Senior Manager, People Business Partnership, plays a critical leadership role in aligning enterprise people strategy with business direction across multiple portfolios or divisions.
    • This role leads a team of PBPs and works closely with senior executives and COE heads to shape, operationalize, and measure strategic people initiatives that enable growth, performance, and organizational transformation.
    • Acting as both a business strategist and People function integrator, the Senior Manager ensures that people insights, structure, and capability decisions directly enhance business agility, leadership effectiveness, and cultural consistency.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead strategic partnership with business and functional heads, shaping people strategies that drive organizational performance, leadership capability, and long-term workforce resilience.
    • Oversee and coach a team of PBPs, ensuring consistent quality, insight, and delivery across all business portfolios and fostering a consultative, data-led partnership culture.
    • Collaborate with COE leaders (Talent, Total Rewards, Learning, Employee Relations, People Analytics) to co-design and execute enterprise-wide initiatives that improve leadership effectiveness, performance, and engagement.
    • Drive enterprise workforce planning and organization design efforts, ensuring structures, roles, and talent pipelines are aligned with future business strategy and operational efficiency.
    • Use advanced people analytics and insights to identify organizational risks, performance gaps, and opportunities — translating them into actionable business recommendations and measurable outcomes.
    • Lead complex change and transformation programs, Partnership with business leadership and COEs to ensure smooth transitions, strong adoption, and cultural alignment.

    Qualifications

    • 8+ years progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in a senior business Partnership or HR leadership capacity.
    • Demonstrated success leading HRBP teams across multiple functions or geographies.
    • Strong command of organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategy.
    • Proven ability to collaborate with COEs and business executives to deliver measurable people outcomes.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience leading people strategy in fast-scaling, complex, or matrixed organizations (fintech, banking, or technology preferred).
    • Exposure to enterprise-level transformation or post-merger integration projects.

    Data Science Manager (Fraud)

    Job Purpose

    The Data Science Manager (Fraud) leads our fraud decisioning efforts to ensure Moniepoint remains the most trusted financial partner for our users.

    In this role, you’ll own the vision and execution of our fraud detection and prevention models. You aren’t just building algorithms; you’re making real-time decisions that protect millions of customers. You’ll lead a team of specialists to create innovative solutions for customer screening, transaction monitoring, and authentication, ensuring our growth is backed by world-class security.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Set the Strategy: Build and scale the roadmap for fraud decisioning, ensuring our models stay ahead of emerging typologies.
    • Lead the Team: Mentor and develop a team of data scientists, fostering a culture of mastery and continuous learning.
    • Architect Solutions: Partner with Product and Engineering to design and deploy real-time decision logic and data architectures.
    • Model Mastery: Develop fraud scoring methodologies and build features from high-volume transactional, device, and behavioural data.
    • Optimise Outcomes: Design and run experiments to improve precision and recall, balancing security with a seamless user experience.
    • Governance & Integrity: Ensure data quality and the responsible use of models within our regulated environments.

    Qualifications

    • 6+ years of experience in Data Science, Decision Science, or Fraud Risk, ideally within financial services.
    • A degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar).
    • Deep knowledge of fraud typologies, financial crime, and the regulatory landscape.
    • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python is our primary tool).
    • Demonstrated success in building and deploying machine learning models at scale.
    • Experience leading or mentoring technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
    • Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation in real-time environments.
    • Familiarity with churn management and user retention modelling.
    • Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in a related quantitative field.

    Data Science Manager (Marketing)

    About the role

    • We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Data Science Manager (Marketing) to lead our data initiatives in a high-growth environment. This role is pivotal in driving our data strategy, fostering a data-driven culture, and ensuring the robust infrastructure and insights necessary for our continued success as a leading African fintech. 
    • You’ll collaborate with our amazing Marketing team and lead a dedicated data team to help execute our marketing strategy. You’ll be responsible for building and improving our current capabilities while shaping the future roadmap.     Your day-to-day

    • Strategic Leadership: Be a key leader in building a discipline of exceptional data scientists and analysts. Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy - design what world class looks like
    • Team Building & Management: Hire, develop, and retain a high performing team of data professionals
    • Experimentation: Champion and drive a culture of rigorous experimentation, including A/B testing, to inform product development and business decisions.
    • Data Pipeline Ownership: Oversee the end-to-end ownership, design, development, and maintenance of scalable and reliable data pipelines.
    • Data Insights & Analytics - including model development and productionisation: Drive the generation of actionable insights from data to support various business functions, including product, marketing, risk, and operations. What are our customers’ share of wallet - how can we use this?
    • Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with marketing, product, and engineering managers to ensure we collect the right data for meaningful business insights. Bring data leadership and rigour to our approach to product development. Build a strategic understanding of the business and structure complex projects to bring them to life.

    Senior Data Scientist (Credit)

We are seeking a data-driven, impact-oriented Senior Data Scientist to power Moniepoint’s consumer lending decisions at scale. You will build the models, experiments, and insights that shape how we acquire, underwrite, and retain millions of customers across Nigeria and Africa.
    • This role is pivotal in driving our pricing, credit limit modelling, and credit model deployment strategy in a growing business with unparalleled opportunities to give access to millions of customers. You’ll collaborate with our amazing Consumer Credit team and drive how we think about risk ranking, product offering, and data infrastructure to create the best personalised offers for our customers. You’ll be responsible for building our first suite of credit risk models and help drive a culture of how we should think about machine learning vs more traditional methods - bringing fresh thinking to inspire both the team and our customers.

    What You’ll Do

    • Develop and deploy credit scoring, affordability, and behavioural models to support underwriting, pricing, and collections
    • Design and run experiments to optimise approval rates, loss rates, and profitability
    • Partner with product squads to embed decision logic into real-time systems
    • Ensure data quality, compliance, and ethical use of models across all decisioning processes
    • Mentor product squads on best practices in experimentation and data-driven decision making
    • Provide models to optimise outcomes in collections, churn management and user retention

    We would love to hear from you if…

    • You’re comfortable with Statistics - and have a Degree or qualifications  in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or similar)
    • You have +5 years of experience in data science, decision science, or risk analytics within financial services
    • Working knowledge of credit risk, consumer lending, and regulatory considerations
    • Proficiency in SQL and at least one modelling/programming language (Python, R)
    • Experience with A/B testing, machine learning, collections modelling and churn management
    • Ability to translate complex analyses into clear recommendations for business stakeholders
    • High ownership mindset and comfort working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams
