Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Production Lead to oversee daily shopfloor operations and drive production efficiency in our aluminum extrusion facility.
• This is a leadership role focused on delivering output targets, improving processes, and ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct daily production operations across multiple shifts.
• ApplyTotal Productive Maintenance (TPM)and lean manufacturing practices to minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency.
• Ensure production targets are achieved while controlling waste and reducing unit costs.
• Manage shift schedules, workforce allocation, and production line productivity.
• Uphold strict compliance with safety, quality, and maintenance standards on the shop floor.
• Work in close collaboration with maintenance, quality assurance, logistics, and planning departments.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts and enforce adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Provide training and mentorship to operators to enhance skills, performance, and accountability.
• Keep precise records, prepare production reports, and maintain performance dashboards.
• Track raw material consumption and support accurate stock management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related Technical field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in production supervision or plant operations (manufacturing environment preferred)
• Proven track record in output optimization, cost savings, and process efficiency
• Hands-on experience with TPM, 5S, and other lean tools
• Strong leadership, team coordination, and communication skills
• Ability to analyze production data and make actionable decisions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Odoo experience is a plus)
• Willingness to live on-site in Awka is strongly preferred.

Job Description

• The Shift Production Manager will oversee daily shop floor operations across the entire Aluminium extrusion production chain from the melting of Aluminium scrap to the packaging of finished aluminium profiles.
• This role ensures that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality, while driving continuous improvement and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all production activities during your assigned shift
• Allocate manpower and oversee operator performance
• Monitor production output and take corrective actions as needed
• Enforce safety, quality, and housekeeping standards on the shopfloor
• Coordinate with logistics, maintenance, and QA teams
• Reduce downtime and material wastage through lean practices
• Maintain accurate shift reports and handover summaries
• Train and guide operators on SOPs and quality requirements.

Requirements

• HND / B.Sc in Engineering or related technical field.
• 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing shift leadership or shift supervisor role.
• Strong knowledge of shop floor operations, lean manufacturing practices & TPM methodologies.
• Excellent team coordination, discipline enforcement, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be results-driven with strong attention to safety and output targets.
