    Operations Specialist

    About the Role

    • The Operations Specialist provides structured administrative and coordination support to the Operations Manager to ensure disciplined execution of plant-wide operational processes. This role focuses on operational planning support, documentation control, interdepartmental coordination, reporting accuracy, and workflow governance within a high-performance processing environment. The position ensures that operational decisions are supported by reliable data, structured records, and effective administrative systems that prevent inefficiencies, delays, and compliance gaps.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the Operations Manager in coordinating plant-wide operational activities across Production, Maintenance, QA, Supply Chain, and Security
    • Maintain structured operational records, reports, schedules, and documentation to ensure accuracy and traceability
    • Consolidate and analyse operational data to support decision-making and performance visibility
    • Track action items, operational initiatives, and interdepartmental follow-ups to ensure timely execution
    • Assist in workforce and shift coordination documentation to prevent administrative gaps that could affect operations
    • Support compliance documentation related to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
    • Coordinate meetings, operational reviews, and cross-functional communication workflows
    • Monitor inventory and material movement reports to flag inconsistencies or documentation gaps
    • Ensure proper filing and version control of SOPs, operational guidelines, and process updates
    • Strengthen administrative systems that reduce operational delays, miscommunication, and inefficiencies

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Engineering, or related field
    • 4–7 years’ experience in operations coordination, administrative operations, or plant support roles within FMCG, food processing, agro-processing, or industrial manufacturing
    • Strong understanding of structured operational environments and factory workflow systems
    • Experience supporting senior operations leaders with reporting and coordination
    • High proficiency in documentation management, reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel
    • Strong organisational and analytical skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced processing environment
    • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination capability

This role focuses on the day-to-day execution of HR processes within a shift-based processing environment, ensuring accurate employee records, effective workforce coordination, and consistent application of policies that promote accountability and operational reliability. Working closely with supervisors and department teams, the People Specialist ensures that people administration and employee support activities contribute to smooth plant operations and minimal workforce disruptions.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the implementation of people policies and procedures across the factory to reinforce discipline and safety culture
    • Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and HR compliance standards
    • Assist with onboarding, induction, and workforce integration for new employees
    • Coordinate attendance tracking, shift rosters, and manpower records to support operational continuity
    • Support supervisors in handling routine employee matters, queries, and documentation
    • Assist in managing employee relations issues and escalating matters appropriately to the People Manager
    • Maintain organised HR data, reports, and personnel files for operational visibility
    • Support learning and development coordination focused on safety, process discipline, and technical competence
    • Ensure proper documentation for performance management and workforce actions

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
    • 3–6 years’ HR or people operations experience within FMCG, food processing, agro-processing, or industrial manufacturing
    • Experience supporting workforce management in a shift-based factory environment
    • Good understanding of HR documentation, employee records, and compliance practices
    • Strong organisational and administrative skills
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail
    • Ability to work closely with supervisors and operational teams in a factory setting

    About the Role

    • The IT Specialist is responsible for ensuring that Matna’s technology infrastructure directly supports production continuity, operational efficiency, data integrity, and process discipline within a high-performance processing plant environment. This role integrates IT systems with factory operations to reduce downtime, improve reporting accuracy, strengthen inventory visibility, and support cost control initiatives. The IT Specialist ensures that production systems, enterprise platforms, and network infrastructure operate reliably and securely, enabling real-time operational decision-making and uninterrupted workflow across Production, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, and People functions.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain and optimise plant-wide IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, user devices, and system environments to ensure uninterrupted operations
    • Support and troubleshoot ERP, inventory management, production monitoring, and reporting systems used across the factory
    • Minimise system-related downtime that could affect production flow, quality monitoring, or order fulfillment
    • Ensure stable network connectivity across plant operations and administrative functions
    • Implement structured data backup, cyber security, and disaster recovery measures to protect operational and commercial data
    • Support digital tracking of raw material usage, inventory movement, and production reporting to enhance operational visibility
    • Maintain IT asset registers, system documentation, and access control protocols
    • Collaborate with Operations and department leads to identify automation and system improvements that reduce manual errors and inefficiencies
    • Ensure compliance with internal IT governance standards and support audit readiness
    • Provide technical guidance and structured reporting to management on system performance and risks

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
    • 5–8 years’ IT experience within FMCG, food processing, agro-processing, or industrial manufacturing environments
    • Demonstrated experience supporting IT systems in a factory or production setting
    • Strong knowledge of network administration, server management, and systems security
    • Experience with ERP systems, inventory platforms, or production reporting tools
    • Solid understanding of cyber security principles, data protection, and backup systems
    • Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues impacting operational continuity
    • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving capability
    • High level of process discipline, responsiveness, and accountability
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with operational and cross-functional teams in an industrial environment
