The IT Specialist is responsible for ensuring that Matna’s technology infrastructure directly supports production continuity, operational efficiency, data integrity, and process discipline within a high-performance processing plant environment. This role integrates IT systems with factory operations to reduce downtime, improve reporting accuracy, strengthen inventory visibility, and support cost control initiatives. The IT Specialist ensures that production systems, enterprise platforms, and network infrastructure operate reliably and securely, enabling real-time operational decision-making and uninterrupted workflow across Production, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, and People functions.
Responsibilities
Maintain and optimise plant-wide IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, user devices, and system environments to ensure uninterrupted operations
Support and troubleshoot ERP, inventory management, production monitoring, and reporting systems used across the factory
Minimise system-related downtime that could affect production flow, quality monitoring, or order fulfillment
Ensure stable network connectivity across plant operations and administrative functions
Implement structured data backup, cyber security, and disaster recovery measures to protect operational and commercial data
Support digital tracking of raw material usage, inventory movement, and production reporting to enhance operational visibility
Maintain IT asset registers, system documentation, and access control protocols
Collaborate with Operations and department leads to identify automation and system improvements that reduce manual errors and inefficiencies
Ensure compliance with internal IT governance standards and support audit readiness
Provide technical guidance and structured reporting to management on system performance and risks
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
5–8 years’ IT experience within FMCG, food processing, agro-processing, or industrial manufacturing environments
Demonstrated experience supporting IT systems in a factory or production setting
Strong knowledge of network administration, server management, and systems security
Experience with ERP systems, inventory platforms, or production reporting tools
Solid understanding of cyber security principles, data protection, and backup systems
Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues impacting operational continuity
Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving capability
High level of process discipline, responsiveness, and accountability
Ability to collaborate effectively with operational and cross-functional teams in an industrial environment
