Job Description

• We are looking to hire a proactive and creative Graphics/UX-UI Officer that is result oriented and self-motivated to join our team.
• The Individual will be responsible for all our graphics and presentation and will be required to work from our office in Ikeja.

Core Responsibilities and Duties

Web / App Design:

• Create and design prototypes for web & mobile apps;
• Understanding and producing excellent designs from user requirements;
• Developing and conceptualizing a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand;
• Producing high-quality UX design solutions within a limited time frame;
• Creating wireframes, visual/graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps & prototypes;
• Collaborating with the marketing team & developers to ensure the creation/delivery of projects;
• Proficiency in Figma, Photoshop or Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator;
• Providing advice and guidance on the implementation of UX research methodologies and testing activities;
• Adhering to style standards on typography and graphic design;
• Create and maintain site documentation.

Graphics Design:

• Design/create graphics to meet specific client needs, logos/banners;
• Create visual concepts using video scribe & Easy Sketch Pro;
• Design presentation materials or products;
• You will be required to perform any other required task as assigned to this role.

Experience

Job Description

• Work closely with design, product management, and development teams to create elegant, usable, responsive and interactive interfaces across multiple devices.
• Turning UI/UX designs into prototypes, creating excellent interactions from designs, writing reusable content modules and maintainability of the code.
• Implement UI development principles to ensure that the product client-side serves at scale.
• Review and optimize the app usage by monitoring key metrics and rectifying the issues proactively.
• An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment and bring in optimal flow for rapidly changing design/ technology.
• Use markup languages like React.JS, HTML5, jQuery, CSS, JS, etc. to create user-friendly web pages
• Implement responsible web design principles to ensure that our company website renders well across multiple devices

Experience and Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent education/experience.
• Three to five years of work experience developing software using React.JS, HTML5, jQuery, CSS, JS, Maven Projects, etc.
• At least 3 years’ experience using RDBMS databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL or MSSQL.
• At least 3 years’ experience using NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, Aerospike, etc.
• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
• Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etc.
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / Mercurial / SVN
• Well versed in integrating REST services and SOAP webservices with frontend framework.
• Experience working in an Agile environment with diverse teams (Remote and onsite).
• Must be knowledgeable of the Fintech space, especially banking, finance and lending.
• Experience working with stake holders at all levels to deliver on agreed requirements.
• Strong experience with GitHub, Bitbucket and other repository/versioning solutions.
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, documentation on Confluence and other documentation tools.
• Experience working with Design, Product and QA teams
• Ability to produce and interpret design specifications and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical skills to solve and model complex business requirements.

Responsibilities:

A high level of proficiency using Adobe products (and equivalent tools). Highly skilled in social media management and design (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Google etc.)
Strong ability to design with accessibility in mind. Must have strong skills in 2D & 3D Graphics, Familiar with Motion Graphics, and Animations; Must be able to use Adobe After effect, Premier Pro, Photoshop, Cinema 4D, Illustrator, Corel Draw, or equivalent application(s).

Qualifications:

Minimum of National Diploma in Computer Science, Information System, Design, Fine Arts, Physics, Electrical / Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering or other related discipline.

Experience:

• Work experience with proof of professional Graphic Design and Animations.
• Must be able to use Graphics software, Photoshop, CorelDraw, Illustrator, Premier Pro, after effect, and other adobe software.
• Knowledge of cinema4d, Animate, Blender and any other 3d software will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Logo Design, and Branding
