Job Description

• The Loan Recovery Officer is responsible for managing overdue accounts and ensuring timely repayment of loans.
• The role focuses on engaging customers, understanding their challenges, and applying effective recovery strategies to minimize losses while maintaining positive customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact customers with overdue loans via calls, messages, or approved communication channels.
• Follow up consistently on delinquent accounts to ensure payments are made.
• Educate customers on the importance of repayment and consequences of non-payment.
• Negotiate repayment within company policies (no unauthorized restructuring).
• Track and monitor customer payment behavior and update records accurately.
• Escalate high-risk or unresponsive customers according to company procedures.
• Maintain professionalism and use a “soft touch” approach during all interactions.
• Meet assigned recovery targets and performance metrics.
• Document all interactions and actions taken on customer accounts.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND / NCE / OND / SSCE qualification.
