    Head, Communication and Digital Marketing

    Role Overview

    • The Communications/Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of W2A’s communication and digital marketing strategies.
    • This includes overseeing content creation, managing website traffic, optimizing SEO, handling CRM and lead generation, running digital campaigns, and driving engagement across social media platforms.
    • The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in both traditional communication and digital marketing, with a proven ability to increase brand visibility and drive sales for events and programs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Digital Marketing Strategy: Design and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies to boost W2A’s brand visibility, increase website traffic, and drive conversions through multiple channels (social media, email, SEO, etc.).
    • Lead Generation & CRM Management: Leverage CRM systems and tools like Apollo to identify and engage leads. Create targeted digital campaigns to nurture prospects and convert leads into clients or event attendees.
    • Content Creation & Management: Oversee the creation and management of high-quality content across W2A’s digital platforms (website, social media, newsletters), ensuring consistency and alignment with strategic goals.
    • SEO & Traffic Optimization: Utilize advanced SEO practices to optimize W2A’s website and content for search engines, increasing organic traffic and ensuring high visibility across relevant platforms.
    • Social Media Engagement: Lead social media efforts, crafting engaging posts, managing online communities, and responding to inquiries to grow audience engagement and drive participation in events and programs.
    • Campaign Execution: Design, launch, and manage digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, PPC advertising, and social media ads, aimed at increasing participation in W2A events and programs.
    • Media Relations & PR: Build and maintain media relationships, securing press coverage for W2A’s events and initiatives. Manage all public relations activities to promote brand credibility and authority.
    • Performance Analytics & Reporting: Monitor digital marketing performance using tools like Google Analytics, and create regular reports that provide insights on KPIs such as traffic, conversion rates, and ROI.
    • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, especially sales and business development, to align digital marketing strategies with broader organizational goals and ensure a seamless customer journey.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
    • 8+ years of experience in communications, digital marketing, or related fields, with a proven track record of managing successful campaigns that drive brand growth and sales.
    • Expertise in Digital Marketing: In-depth knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, PPC, social media marketing, email marketing, and content marketing.
    • Proficiency in CRM & Lead Generation: Experience using CRM systems like HubSpot, Salesforce, or Apollo for lead management, campaign execution, and performance tracking.
    • SEO Expertise: Strong understanding of SEO principles and tools, with proven success in improving organic search rankings and driving traffic.
    • Excellent Writing & Communication Skills: Ability to craft compelling content across a range of digital platforms and tailor messaging to various audience segments.
    • Project Management Skills: Strong organizational abilities, with experience managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and working in a fast-paced environment.
    • Analytical & Data-Driven: Proficient in using tools like Google Analytics and social media insights to measure performance and optimize strategies based on data.
    • Experience with Branding & Event Promotion: Previous experience promoting events or branding activities, particularly in trade, investment, or related industries, is advantageous.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary: N200,000.00 - N250,000.00 per month, commensurate with experience.

    • The Head of Investment & Trade Promotion will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to attract investments, promote trade relations and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders.

    Job Responsibilities
    Direct Promotion Strategies:

    • Create comprehensive strategies to attract foreign investments and promote trade opportunities in alignment with the company’s objectives and market trends.
    • Curate high-quality roadshows, missions, guided tours to spotlight international investment opportunities.

    Market Analysis:

    • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities, emerging markets and competitive trends.
    • Innovate to continuously maintain industry and global relevance in the quality and impact of programs and events.

    Investor Relations:

    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential investors, financial institutions, government agencies and other stakeholders to facilitate investment opportunities and partnerships.
    • Diplomatize relationships and networks of sponsors, key stakeholders, vendors and speakers to shore up support and resources for promotion initiatives.

    Trade Promotion:

    • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of multiple programs and events to promote exports, facilitate trade agreements and enhance market access for products and services through targeted promotional activities and trade missions.

    Collaboration:

    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, design, communications, finance and operations to align objectives, drive strategy and deliver exceptional programs.

    Monitoring & Evaluation:

    • Develop ambitious, but feasible, and comprehensive project timelines and budgets, establish parameters and conduct post-program analyses to measure the projected-vs-actual success of promotion efforts and regularly report on progress to senior management.

    Team Leadership:

    • Provide leadership and guidance to the investment and trade promotion team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and innovation.
    • Extend rounded mentorship and training to team members to improve task allocation/delegation.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Relations, Marketing or related field; advanced degree preferred.
    • Proven track record of at least 4 years in investment promotion, program coordination/management, trade development or related field, with experience in international business environments.
    • Strong understanding of global trade dynamics, investment trends and regulatory frameworks.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
    • Strong project management skills with experience in working amongst internal teams
    • Relevant experience in marketing and corporate communications
    • Demonstrated capability in managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and working collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement innovative initiatives to achieve organizational goals.
    • Leadership experience in cross-functional teams, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving objectives
    • Proficiency in English language is required, French/Chinese languages is an asset.
