    Finance Intern

    Role Purpose

    • The Finance Intern supports the finance department in processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, filing financial documents, and assisting with reporting. The role ensures proper financial documentation and compliance with organisational and donor requirements while contributing to smooth financial operations.

     Key Areas of Accountability

    Financial Documentation & Transactions

    • Assist in preparing payment vouchers, receipts, and supporting documents.
    • Support the verification of invoices, advances, and expenditures.
    • Assist with petty cash management and reconciliation under supervision.

    Record Keeping & Filing

    • Maintain organised financial files (both physical and digital).
    • Ensure timely and accurate filing of receipts, invoices, and vouchers.

    Financial Reporting Support

    • Assist in compiling data for monthly expenditure reports.
    • Support financial audits by preparing required documentation.

    Compliance & Internal Controls

    • Ensure adherence to organisational financial procedures and donor requirements.
    • Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.

    Community Mobilisation Officer

    Role Purpose

    • The Community Mobilisation Officer leads grassroots engagement, mobilisation, and sensitisation activities to promote community participation in CAYEI’s programs. The role ensures inclusive representation, supports accountability systems, and strengthens community-driven project approaches.

     Key Areas of Accountability

    Community Engagement & Mobilisation

    • Lead community sensitisation activities, ensuring inclusion of vulnerable and marginalised groups.
    • Support formation and strengthening of community structures (committees, volunteer groups).
    • Facilitate community access to project services and information sharing.

    Awareness & Behavioural Change

    • Conduct awareness campaigns and community dialogues.
    • Develop and deliver messages tailored to local contexts and cultural norms.

    Stakeholder Coordination

    • Maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local authorities, and partners.
    • Participate in community-level coordination and represent CAYEI when assigned.

    Monitoring & Reporting

    • Collect community feedback, complaints, and suggestions.
    • Submit daily/weekly field activity reports.
    • Document challenges, best practices, and community success stories.

    Communications Officer

    Role Purpose

    • The Communications Officer leads the organisation’s communication and visibility efforts, ensuring effective content creation, media engagement, documentation, and knowledge-sharing. The role supports donor visibility requirements, strengthens CAYEI’s storytelling, and promotes transparency and accountability in line with humanitarian principles.

    Key Areas of Accountability

    Content Creation & Digital Media

    • Develop and disseminate social media posts, press releases, newsletters, and other communication
    • materials.
    • Capture and edit high-quality photographs, videos, and visual content to support storytelling.
    • Ensure all communication materials meet branding, ethical, and donor visibility standards.

    Documentation & Reporting

    • Document success stories, lessons learned, and field observations.
    • Maintain organised digital and physical archives of communication materials.
    • Support project teams with documentation for donor reporting and visibility purposes.

    Media Engagement & Public Relations

    • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and stakeholders.
    • Support media campaigns, press conferences, and advocacy activities.
    • Represent CAYEI in communication-related meetings when required.

    Visibility & Branding Compliance

    • Ensure all projects adhere to donor and organisational branding guidelines.
    • Monitor visibility requirements and support implementation across all program activities.

    • Experience with photography, video editing, or graphic design is an added advantage.

    Human Resources Intern

    Role Purpose

    • The Human Resources Intern supports HR administration, recruitment processes, personnel documentation, staff welfare activities, and compliance with organisational policies. The role ensures effective HR operations and contributes to maintaining a professional and supportive work environment within CAYEI.

    Key Areas of Accountability

    Recruitment & Onboarding Support

    • Assist in posting job adverts, screening CVs, and scheduling interviews.
    • Support onboarding processes including orientation, induction, and documentation.
    • Maintain candidate and recruitment files in an organised manner.

    HR Administration & Documentation

    • Update staff records, leave trackers, and attendance files.
    • Support the preparation of HR letters, memos, and ID cards.
    • Assist in filing staff documents and ensuring proper record-keeping.

    Staff Welfare & Support

    • Support HR in coordinating staff welfare activities and communication.
    • Assist in responding to staff inquiries and directing them to appropriate channels.

    • Support preparation of weekly and monthly monitoring reports.
