    Responsibilities

    Senior Finance Officer

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Officer to join our team. 
    • The Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, preparing accurate financial reports, and providing strategic financial guidance. 
    • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial management principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

    Key Responsibilities
    Financial Reporting and Analysis:

    • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
    • Conduct variance analysis, identifying discrepancies and providing recommendations for corrective actions.
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

    Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to ensure budget alignment with strategic objectives.
    • Provide financial insights and projections to support business decisions and drive operational efficiency.

    Financial Controls and Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and internal policies.
    • Implement and maintain robust financial controls to safeguard the organization’s assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
    • Liaise with external auditors during audit processes and assist in resolving any issues raised.

    Cash Flow Management:

    • Oversee cash flow management, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs.
    • Monitor working capital and recommend strategies for improvement in cash flow efficiency.

    Team Leadership:

    • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
    • Provide guidance on complex financial issues and support team members in their professional development.

    Financial Strategy and Decision Support:

    • Provide strategic financial advice to senior management on business performance and financial health.
    • Assist in the development of financial strategies to optimize profitability and support business growth.

    Tax and Regulatory Reporting:

    • Ensure accurate and timely submission of tax filings, including VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory reporting requirements.
    • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the organization remains compliant.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's or professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CFA preferred).
    • 5 - 7 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior finance role.
    • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
    • Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel (Advanced level).
    • Experience with financial audits and compliance regulations.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
