    Internal Audit / Control Officer

    Brief Job Overview

    • We are looking for an Internal audit/control Officer to join our team, The main role of an internal audit/ control officer is to implement the firm’s internal control system.
    • To achieve this, you will administer training to ensure that employees have an intricate understanding of all internal control guidelines and standards.
    • You will also conduct regular audits to verify whether departments follow the established procedures.

    Responsibilities
    The ideal Candidate will (but not limited to):

    • Physical verification of goods supplied by vendors.
    • Ensure that all documents relating to procurement (LPO, GRN, INVOICE, GDN) match up with each other.
    • Close liaison with quality control to establish product specifications.
    • Flagging of a breach in control procedure to the management.
    • Weekly report of activities to the chief internal audit/compliance officer
    • Departmental audit of operations at the branch office, including the security operatives.
    • Conducting periodic stock count exercises, investigation of variances and reconciling inventory record.
    • Identification of control gaps, and providing necessary recommendations
    • Conducting pre and post audit of all expenditure
    • Periodic review of vendors creation and ensuring suppliers accounts are accurately updated.
    • Conduct market surveys on an irregular basis.
    • Safeguarding all assets at the branch office
    • Close monitoring of the operating activities of the fleet unit of the company.
    • Ensuring that all stakeholders at the branch office comply with necessary statutory regulations.
    • Other duties as may be assigned.

    Key Deliverables

    • Control Environment: Ensure compliance of the policies, procedures, standards, processes, and ethical values set forth by the Firm’s Management Team.
    • Risk Assessment: Determine the impact and likelihood of those risks in the firm occurring and influence what types of controls should be implemented to reach an acceptable level of residual risk.
    • Control Activities: Ability to assign system access based on the user’s established role and reviewed on a periodic basis by the individual’s manager.
    • Information and Communication: Internal controls are only effective if employees are aware of them, know-how and when to perform a control, and understand what to do if an issue is identified. Information and communication ensure relevant information is shared throughout the organization and with external stakeholders in an effective and timely manner.
    • Monitoring: Monitoring involves the ongoing assessment of the design and effectiveness of internal controls. Monitoring activities are performed by the internal auditor /control officer to provide assurance that internal controls are operating effectively.

    Qualifications

    • BSc Accounting, Economics, Finance or related field
    • ICAN is required
    • Minimum of 7-10years proven working experience as Internal Audit /Control Officer
    • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases

    Required Competence:

    • Technical Accounting Skills.
    • Mastery of Accounting Principles
    • Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards
    • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Excellent data collection and analysis skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
    • Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulations
    • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
    • Sound independent judgment.

    Plant Human Resources and Administration Manager

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Human Resources and Administration Manager to oversee and manage all HR and administrative functions at our Aluminum and Copper Recycling Plant.
    • This role will be responsible for developing HR strategies, ensuring compliance with labor regulations, managing employee relations, recruitment, and overseeing administrative tasks to ensure smooth plant operations.
    • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, administration, and an understanding of working in an industrial environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    Human Resources Management:

    • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business objectives of the plant.
    • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job descriptions to onboarding, to ensure the plant has the right talent.
    • Oversee performance management processes, including employee evaluations, feedback, and development plans.
    • Handle employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance management.
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
    • Manage the plant’s compensation and benefits program, including payroll, rewards, and recognition systems.
    • Lead initiatives to foster employee engagement, satisfaction, and a positive work culture.
    • Conduct training and development programs to enhance employee skills and productivity.
    • Oversee expatriate management, including work permits, visas, and relocation processes.

    Administrative Responsibilities:

    • Supervise the day-to-day administrative operations of the plant, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
    • Manage office supplies, facilities, and utilities to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
    • Oversee documentation, including employee records, contracts, and HR-related paperwork.
    • Assist in preparing and coordinating company events, meetings, and other activities.
    • Liaise with external service providers (e.g., legal, health and safety, etc.) to ensure compliance and service quality.
    • Support the management team with administrative tasks and reports as required.

    Health, Safety, and Compliance:

    • Work closely with the Health and Safety team to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
    • Promote and implement health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
    • Collaborate with the management team to ensure environmental, legal, and regulatory compliance in all HR-related matters.

    HR Analytics and Reporting:

    • Collect and analyze HR data to provide insights on workforce trends, employee performance, and turnover rates.
    • Prepare regular reports for management, including HR metrics, payroll reports, and compliance documentation.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (CIPM, CIPD, SHRM) is a plus.
    • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of HR and administration experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in the manufacturing or recycling industry.
    • Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
    • Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training.
    • Familiarity with HR software and systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, etc.).
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience in the aluminum or copper recycling industry or other industrial environments.
    • Understanding of expatriate management and compliance with immigration regulations.
    • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and manage diverse teams.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to work in an industrial setting, including visiting the plant floor and interacting with production teams.

    Electrician

    Job Summary

    • We are looking for a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team at an Aluminum and Copper Recycling Plant.
    • The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within the plant.
    • The ideal candidate will ensure that all electrical systems are in safe working condition to support the plant’s daily operations, minimize downtime, and adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements.

    Key Responsibilities
    Electrical Installation and Maintenance:

    • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and machinery, including motors, control panels, generators, and production equipment.
    • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers, breakers, and wiring, to ensure they are functioning safely and efficiently.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems and perform timely repairs to reduce downtime.
    • Maintain backup power systems and ensure continuous electrical supply during outages.

    Preventive Maintenance:

    • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become problems.
    • Ensure proper functionality of all electrical equipment and systems by following maintenance schedules and documenting inspections and repairs.
    • Perform tests and checks using electrical testing tools, such as multimeters and circuit testers, to ensure equipment safety and reliability.

    Documentation and Reporting:

    • Provide reports on the status of electrical systems and equipment, including any issues, downtime, and corrective actions taken.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Education: Diploma or Technical Certification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related field.
    • Experience: At least 5-7years of experience as an Electrician in an industrial or manufacturing setting, preferably in recycling or metal processing plants.
    • Certifications: Licensed or certified Electrician (e.g., Journeyman Electrician).
    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), control panels, and switchgear.
    • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
    • Experience with PLC systems and automation is an advantage.
    • Familiarity with safety practices, lockout/tagout procedures, and National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations.
    • Ability to use electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, ohmmeters, and oscilloscopes.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience in the aluminum or copper recycling industry or similar industrial environments.
    • Knowledge of energy-efficient practices and sustainable electrical systems.
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to work in a high-temperature, noisy, and fast-paced industrial environment.
    • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), stand, climb, and kneel for extended periods.
    • Willingness to work in confined spaces and at heights, if required.
