Summary Objective

• Work closely with the agribusiness and commercial team to drive organizational objectives aimed at improving business profitability. 
• This will be achieved through sales of agribusiness product/services, development of a strong agribusiness brand and improved client relationships with agripreneurs and startup farms.

Key Functions

• Revenue Improvement

General Responsibilities

• Increase revenue of all sales channels (product and services).
• Market research on existing products and services to ensure adoption of competitive pricing systems.
• Development of new agribusiness product and service lines.
• Development of promotional (sales and marketing) framework for agribusiness products and services to boost the volume of sales.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and organisations in the agribusiness space (agripreneurs in the livestock sector).
• Identify new markets and build strong client relationships.
• Field survey (Visits) of existing and potential clients to evaluate needs and promote products and services.
• Ensure improve customer onboarding and retention system (Measured on quarterly basis).

Responsibilties

• Cultivate lands for planting i.e. disc ploughing, disc harrowing and ridging.
• Responsible for the planting of crops and pastures
• Hay making i.e. mowing, raking and baling.
• Silage harvesting (chopping) at the appropriate period
• Compaction of silage inside silage Pits
• Responsible for maize threshing
• Responsible for the application of pesticides to ensure optimal harvesting.
• Trailing silage and hay to a storage area.
• Responsible for the application of fertiliser using a spreader.
• Provides relief in feed mixing using TMR for the feeding of cows
• Reports tractors/equipment faults to supervisor.

Education, Experience & Skills

• Minimum of a Ordinary National Diploma education qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of cognate experience is required
• Must be a holder of a valid tractor operator’s driving licence.
• Experience in using farm implements.
• Hands on experience in ploughing, harrowing, planting, spraying.
• Experience in mowing, baling and experience in silage making
• Must be able to operate a tractor.
• Ability to calibrate equipment input use
• Good interpersonal relationship skills.
• Good communication effectively.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing the revenue transactions of the business to ensure the effectiveness of the Company's revenue assurance mechanism.
• Timely and regular review of bank and inventory reconciliation statements to ensure accuracy and correctness.
• Reviewing of the general ledger to ensure efficient administration of the Company's ledger system.
• Conducting regular reviews of operational processes to guard against wastages, fraud, and avoidable risk exposures.
• Administering regular reviews of the internal control system to determine the level of effectiveness and efficiency of controls.
• Regular review of ERP access control to determine its level of effectiveness.Conducting audit visits to depots for review of depot operations.

Requirements

• A graduate of Accounting or Management Science.
• 4 years of post-graduation auditing experience.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and to understand the implications of findings.
• Versed in the use of computers to identify and analyse data.
• Attention to detail
• Adaptability and effective communication skills.
• Part-qualified Chartered Accountant is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring of Goods received into the Stores and determining their PO status on the system.
• Monitoring of IRs on the system and their corresponding posting status.
• Monitoring of the posting of transactions into the Technical, WIP, and FG 003 warehouses.
• Monitoring of the postings of the Business Development Executives into the system so as to determine the level of compliance with real-time posting expectations.
• Follow up with the reconciliation gaps report from the depots on real-time posting expectations from the sales team.
• Monitoring the scrapping of the returned products from the depots.
• Administering an effective IAC gate pass mechanism for items being taken out of the Farm.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 3 - 6 years of work experience.
