    Hostess

    Location: Ikotun, Lagos

    Job Summary

    • A hostess is responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a positive dining experience from the moment customers enter the restaurant.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Greeting Guests: The hostess is the first point of contact for guests, welcoming them warmly and creating a positive first impression.
    • Managing Reservations: Hostesses handle the reservation book, manage waitlists, and provide accurate wait times to guests.
    • Seating Guests: They escort guests to their tables, ensuring that seating arrangements are efficient and that servers are assigned tables fairly.
    • Answering Questions: Hostesses respond to guest inquiries about the menu, restaurant policies, and other relevant information.
    • Maintaining Cleanliness: They keep the entryway and host stand clean and organized, ensuring a tidy environment for guests.
    • Supporting Staff: During busy periods, hostesses may assist servers by running food, refilling drinks, or clearing tables as needed.
    • Handling Complaints: A good hostess listens to guest concerns and works to resolve issues calmly and professionally.

    Sous Chef

    Responsibilities
    Sous Chefs oversee food preparation and cooking .To succeed in this job, a candidate must be able to effectively undertake the following day-to-day duties and responsibilities:

    • Preparing meals and food to meet the specifications of guests in a timely manner
    • Properly measuring kitchen ingredients and food portions
    • Ensuring kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, department rules and sanitation requirements
    • Using kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food preparation
    • Managing the kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality
    • Ensuring proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward
    • Keeping the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized
    • Taking charge of kitchen opening, closing and other side duties as directed by the Executive Chef.
