    Head, Internal Audit

    Available Opening for Head, Internal Audit in a Savings and Finance Loans Company in Lagos.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform corporate governance functions assigned in the Board committees on behalf of management
    • Direct the review of departmental audits on periodic basis to ensure individual departments’ objectives are being met.
    • Review and direct audits of Financial reports and respective component account balances.
    • Oversee fraud detection, deterrence and prevention efforts and reviews to ensure that organizational resources are not abused and misused.
    • Direct audits on Financial reporting and related account balances.
    • Lead Internal Audit’s change initiative by implementing action plans related to risk assessment and annual planning, audit execution, audit reporting, staff recruiting and development, audit technology, and Audit Committee reporting.
    • Lead Internal Audit’s annual risk assessment and enterprise risk assessment and planning process to develop the audit plan and ensure the plan is responsive to and aligned with the risk profile of the organization.
    • Oversee the execution of individual audits defined in the audit plan ensuring the highest level of service quality and client satisfaction.
    • Issue all Internal Audit reports ensuring the reports are clear, concise, identify root causes with practical solutions, and ultimately provide value to management.
    • Manage the process to track, follow-up, and ultimately close all open audit issues leveraging the Audit Committee, if necessary.
    • Actively participate in executive management meetings and/or committees to ensure that Internal Audit is well-informed of key business developments that could have an impact on audit priorities and/or plans.
    • Ensure that Internal Audit is performing its work in accordance with established professional standards and remain abreast of emerging trends and best practices that can be incorporated into the function.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • B.Sc. in Accouting and Finance or other related field
    • Must be a charted accountant (ICAN, ACCA)
    • A minimum of 8 years of experience in in auditing or accounting
    • a minimum of 3 years in management position
    • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
    • Knowledge of Accounting and Finance Principles and Practices.
    • Knowledge of a variety of reporting procedures, regulations and law.
    • Planning and Time Management.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • At least 5 years in a Senior Management position.
    • Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA)

    Head, Risk Management and Business Development

    Available Opening for Head, Risk Management & Business Development in a Savings and Finance Loans Company in Lagos

    .RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supervise the design and implementation of an overall risk management process for the organization, which includes an analysis of the financial impact on the company when risks occur.
    • Supervise Business Development activities company wide, with a view to ensuring maximum achievement of targets.
    • Developing growth strategies and plans for the Business Development Team.
    • Engage in fund raising ventures with the MD/CEO, and Top Executives.
    • Performing a risk evaluation; Evaluating the company’s previous handling of risks, and comparing potential risks with criteria set out by the company such as costs and legal requirements.
    • Explaining the external risk posed by corporate governance to stakeholders
    • Creating business continuity plans to limit risks
    • Working with relevant units to conduct policy and compliance audits, which will include liaising with internal and external auditors
    • Building risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company

    REQUIREMENTS

    • BSc. in Finance, Economics or Related Field
    • MSc/ MBA
    • A minimum of 13 years of cognate experience including experience in one or more of the following areas: Risk Management, Business Development, Strategy, and Research.
