    Head of Department for Midwifery

    Job Description

    • As the Head of Department for Midwifery, you will oversee the development and management of the Midwifery department at our upcoming nursing school.
    • This role requires strong leadership abilities, a comprehensive understanding of midwifery education, and a dedication to maintaining high standards of academic excellence and clinical practice.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the midwifery curriculum in alignment with regulatory and accreditation standards.
    • Provide leadership and support to faculty members and administrative staff within the Midwifery department.
    • Ensure the integration of evidence-based practices and innovative teaching methodologies in midwifery education.
    • Foster a collaborative and supportive environment that promotes professional growth and student success.

    Requirements

    • Registered Midwife (RM) with a Master's Degree in Midwifery or a related field. A PhD in Midwifery or Education is advantageous.
    • Minimum of 4 years' experience in midwifery education or clinical practice, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
    • PGD in Education is required.
    • Proven experience in curriculum development, program assessment, and faculty development within a midwifery education context.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

    Administrative Officer (Youth Corper)

    Job Summary

    • Lily College of Nursing Sciences is seeking a dedicated NYSC Corps Member to support its administrative operations.
    • The Admin Officer (Corper) will assist with day-to-day office administration, documentation, and coordination of academic and non-academic activities within the College.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with general administrative and clerical duties
    • Support record keeping, filing, and documentation
    • Help manage official correspondence and internal communications
    • Assist academic and administrative units with routine tasks
    • Support meetings, inspections, and college activities
    • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Must be a serving NYSC Corps Member
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Willingness to learn and ability to work in a team
    • High level of professionalism and positive work attitude.
