    Head, Research and Strategy

    Job Purpose

    • The Head Research and Strategy role is responsible for leading the process of developing, embedding, and monitoring the Group strategy.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for building our Group wide strategy, research, evaluation and ensure the successful implementation of such.
    • Working with the Group Chief Operating Officer, this role will lead on effective business planning and implementation and the management of the brand and external communication

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Formulate and implement the Group's Brand Visibility, External Communication strategy to support the Group strategy.
    • Research on emerging Brand Visibility and Communication trends and recommend to the Group for adoption including setting up of style guides, brand guidelines and value proposition for short as well as long term.
    • Research and lead the adoption of new and emerging reinsurance trends to enable the Group to have a competitive advantage.
    • Develop and implement relevant policies and procedures for the Department Lead the development effective planning of the Group Strategy and monitoring the implementation. Develop strategies and manage marketing campaigns across print, broadcast and online platforms to ensure that products and services meet customers expectations whilst building credibility of the brand.
    • Formulation of key strategic reports to provide the Executive Management and the Board with information for key decision making.
    • Conducting of market and business research to keep up to date with customer trends, as well as predicting future trends.
    • Analysis of the success of marketing campaigns for future decision making.
    • Design advertising, marketing material and other forms of marketing to maintain consistency in branding.
    • Organise events such as product launches, exhibitions and photo shoots.
    • Plan and execute all external communications and media actions on all channels, including online, social media and interview requests. Monitor how the brand is currently positioned on the market.
    • Create content for press releases, by-line articles and keynote presentations. Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an ongoing basis. Manage Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

    Candidate Profile
    Qualifications:

    • A relevant Degree
    • Professional qualification in Marketing.
    • Master's in Business Administration or equivalentis an added advantage.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 3 years experience in a Managerial role.
    • Must have experience in the insurance industry.

    Competencies:

    • Can demonstrate a depth of proven experience in utilising a range of strategy development theories and implementing the strategy.
    • Proven expertise in managing the brand and external communication.
    • Technically proficient in research, evaluation and impact measurement, Ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively.
    • Ability to work on a range of deliverables

    Group Head, Information Technology (IT)

    Job Purpose

    • The Group Head IT role is responsible for overseeing all technology operations and evaluating them according to established goals whilst ensuring that the Group is highly digitalised with the latest technologies that enable efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Working with the Group Chief Finance Officer, the role bares the responsibility for the delivery of the Group's IT Strategy, aligning IT deployment in a commercial and effective manner, managing the systems, maximizing adoption of technologies and delivering on any strategic business change programmes through the use of both internal and external resources.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Formulate and implement the Group IT strategy.
    • Research on emerging IT trends and recommend for adoption Formulate all relevant IT policies and procedures and design IT controls Formulate key strategic reports to provide the Board and Management with information for key decision making.
    • Manage the installation, monitoring and troubleshooting of the local Area Network. Private Virtual Networks and Cloud infrastructure in a bid to achieve optimal network and communications performance for office productivity.
    • Manage the periodic Integration of technical accounts to the financial systems through the effective execution of the General Ledger Interfacing toolkit.
    • Ensure the management and supervision for the cloud infrastructure for high availability.
    • Ensure the effective transmission of incoming and outgoing emails, driven by the Corporate Email Hosting platform engine.
    • Manage the Corporation's Anti-Malware and Anti-Cyber Threat Mechanisms in a bid to ensure protection of informational assets and minimisation of downtime associated with network intrusion.
    • Manage the installation, maintenance and monitoring of the Corporate Server(s) deployment infrastructure to maximise server uptime and availability for connectivity by all departments, Manage the technical component of all core applications hosted to ensure end-users perform their respective functions speedily and accurately with a view to surpassing the budgetary targets.
    • Manage the design, development, deployment and maintenance of software's that would improve the company's productivity as it delivers its reinsurance services.
    • Create relationships with keys stakeholder i.e. Users Vendors! suppliers that would continuously benefit the organization.

    Candidate Profile
    Qualifications:

    • A Degree in ICT or related field.
    • Master's in Business Administration or ICT related field will be an added advantage.

    Professional Qualifications:

    • Relevant professional ICT certification in Database.
    • Development and Administration.
    • Data Analytics and Programing.

    Experience:

    • At least 10 years relevant experience, 5of which should be at a managerial level Experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry will bean added advantage

    Competencies:

    • Can demonstrate a depth of proven experience of leading an IT department.
    • Technically proficient in key IT technical aspects.
    • Knowledge in emerging technologies and trends, including Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Big data, etc.
    • Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively to diverse stakeholders.
    • Good project management skills.
