    About the Role

    Key Responsibilities
    Social Media & Content Management:

    Transit Mix Driver

    Job Summary

    • We are hiring a reliable and safety-conscious Transit Mixer Driver to operate concrete mixer trucks and ensure timely delivery of ready-mix concrete to construction sites.
    • The role involves safe driving, proper handling of concrete in transit, compliance with road and site safety regulations, and accurate documentation of deliveries.
    • You will be responsible for maintaining concrete quality during transport, ensuring safe site discharge, and properly managing vehicle condition and operational procedures.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Drive transit mixer trucks in full compliance with FRSC regulations, including speed limits and safety laws
    • Conduct daily pre-departure vehicle inspections (tyres, brakes, lights, mirrors, engine fluids, drum system, and water system) and record findings
    • Maintain continuous drum rotation during transit at the required speed to preserve concrete quality
    • Verify load details (mix class, volume, client, site, and timing) before departure and report discrepancies
    • Execute proper site arrival procedures, including coordination with site foreman before discharge
    • Ensure concrete is only discharged at authorised locations under proper instruction
    • Obtain signed waybills after every delivery confirming volume and completion time
    • Wash mixer drum thoroughly after each delivery using approved washout procedures
    • Report all vehicle faults immediately and stop operation when safety issues are detected
    • Maintain cleanliness and professionalism of the vehicle cab at all times
    • Complete daily defect and operation reports upon return to the plant
    • Maintain punctuality and attend all operational briefings as required.

    Requirements

    • WAEC / NECO certificate
    • Valid Nigerian driver’s licence (Class C or above)
    • Defensive Driving Certificate
    • Minimum of 1 year experience driving transit mixer trucks or other heavy-duty vehicles

    Batching Plant Supervisor

    Job Summary

    • We are hiring an experienced and highly responsible Batching Plant Supervisor to oversee all batching plant operations during production shifts.
    • The role ensures safe, efficient, and accurate execution of production plans, supervises plant personnel, maintains quality control standards, and ensures plant readiness and compliance at all times.
    • The Plant Supervisor serves as the key operational authority on shift and is accountable for production output, safety enforcement, plant performance, and shift coordination.

    Key Responsibilities
    Shift Management & Team Supervision:

    • Take full control of batching plant operations from start to end of each shift
    • Ensure all staff are present at assigned stations and brief them on production plans and mix requirements
    • Supervise the Senior Batching Plant Operator and all plant personnel during operations
    • Enforce discipline, safety compliance, and productivity across the shift
    • Manage attendance issues and arrange immediate coverage where necessary
    • Conduct structured shift handover at the end of each shift, documenting plant status, production output, and issues

    Pre-Shift Plant Inspection & Readiness:

    • Conduct full pre-shift inspection of batching plant systems, including control system, hoppers, silos, admixture tanks, and water systems
    • Verify calibration of weighing systems and escalate deviations beyond tolerance before production begins
    • Confirm availability of all raw materials required for planned production
    • Ensure all PPE requirements are met before production starts (no PPE, no work)
    • Confirm safety systems are functional, including emergency stops, guards, and fire safety equipment

    Production Quality Control:

    • Verify mix designs before production and ensure correct settings in batching system
    • Monitor batching accuracy and ensure consistency with approved specifications
    • Coordinate with QC personnel to ensure slump tests and quality checks are completed
    • Hold or reject loads where quality issues are identified
    • Manage concrete temperature control measures during hot weather conditions

    Plant Maintenance Coordination:

    • Report plant faults promptly with clear technical details and production impact
    • Coordinate maintenance activities and ensure safe lockout/tagout procedures are followed
    • Oversee minor adjustments and operational troubleshooting during shifts
    • Ensure proper handover and sign-off after maintenance before restarting equipment

    Safety, Reporting & Communication:

    • Enforce strict safety compliance across the plant at all times
    • Report all incidents to HSE within required timelines
    • Monitor material stock levels and escalate shortages before depletion
    • Maintain accurate production records for every batch and load
    • Submit detailed shift reports covering production, downtime, safety issues, and team performance

    Requirements

    • OND / HND in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering (WAEC minimum also required)
    • 5–8 years practical experience in concrete batching plant operations
    • At least 3 years in a supervisory or senior operational role in a batching plant or ready-mix concrete environment
    • Strong knowledge of automated batching systems and concrete production processes
    • Physically fit to work in high-dust, high-noise industrial plant environment
    • Ability to climb plant structures for inspection and operational checks.
