    Bids and Tender Lead

    Job Purpose

    • The Bids & Tender Lead provides strategic and operational leadership for Tamrose’s tendering and proposal management process.
    • The role ensures that all tenders are developed with precision, competitiveness, and full compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
    • It manages bid teams, standardizes templates, oversees cost estimation, and drives continuous improvement in Tamrose’s tender success rate across marine logistics, engineering, and oil & gas service segments.

    Key Responsibilities
    Strategic Bid Management:

    • Lead the end-to-end management of all tender and prequalification submissions.
    • Develop a robust tendering calendar and allocate resources to meet deadlines.
    • Review ITTs, RFQs, and RFPs to determine commercial and technical feasibility.
    • Provide strategic input on bid/no-bid decisions and competitive positioning.
    • Ensure tender documents are complete, accurate, and aligned with business strategy.
    • Oversee pricing strategy in collaboration with Finance and Operations to ensure competitiveness and profitability.

    Documentation & Compliance Oversight:

    • Maintain high-quality standards for all bid submissions, ensuring full compliance with client specifications and statutory requirements.
    • Oversee updates and renewals of all company certifications, prequalification documents, and vendor registrations (NIPEX, DPR, NCDMB, etc.).
    • Implement document control processes for version management, approval workflows, and data security.
    • Ensure that all tender submissions are reviewed and approved by appropriate stakeholders before dispatch.

    Stakeholder & Client Engagement:

    • Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies for bid clarifications and tender follow-up.
    • Support post-bid presentations, negotiations, and contract finalization processes.
    • Maintain a professional network within industry circles to gain market intelligence on upcoming bids.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with client procurement and technical representatives.

    Team Leadership & Development:

    • Supervise and mentor Bids & Tender Officers and Documentation Assistants.
    • Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) and checklists for tender preparation.
    • Conduct training sessions on proposal writing, compliance, and cost estimation.
    • Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning within the bid team.

    Business Intelligence & Reporting:

    • Track and analyze bid performance, win/loss ratios, and lessons learned.
    • Develop and maintain a central database of submitted bids, outcomes, and pricing benchmarks.
    • Prepare monthly management reports on bid activity and success metrics.
    • Provide recommendations to improve competitive performance and operational efficiency.

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify process gaps and implement automation or digital tools for tender management.
    • Regularly update templates, standard narratives, and company profiles for consistency and brand alignment.
    • Collaborate with the marketing and technical teams to enhance the visual and content quality of submissions.

    Qualifications, Experience & Skills
    Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marine, or a related field. Master’s Degree or MBA preferred.

    Experience:

    • 8 - 12 years experience in tender management, commercial operations, or proposal development in the oil & gas or marine industry, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or lead role.

    Certifications:

    • Project Management or Contract Management certification is an advantage.

    Technical Skills:

    • Excellent proposal writing, cost estimation, and bid coordination skills.
    • Strong understanding of commercial, legal, and compliance frameworks.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, Power BI, and document management software.
    • Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate into proposal content.

    Business Development Officer

    Job Summary

    • The Business Development Officer supports the company’s growth strategy by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and contributing to the execution of marketing and commercial initiatives.
    • This role involves conducting market research, preparing tenders and proposals, engaging clients across the oil and gas, marine logistics, and energy sectors, and ensuring that Tamrose maintains a competitive position in the market.

    Key Responsibilities
    Market & Opportunity Development:

    • Conduct continuous market intelligence and competitor analysis within the marine and energy logistics sectors.
    • Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities aligned with company capabilities and strategic goals.
    • Track and analyze upcoming projects, bids, and tenders from NNPC, IOCs, and other industry stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain a detailed business opportunities pipeline and update management regularly.

    Client Relationship Management:

    • Support relationship management with key clients, partners, and industry regulators.
    • Assist in developing client engagement materials, presentations, and capability statements.
    • Participate in client meetings, conferences, and networking events to promote Tamrose’s brand and services.
    • Ensure consistent follow-up on proposals, RFQs, and contract renewals.

    Proposal & Tender Support:

    • Coordinate preparation of technical and commercial proposals in response to bids, RFPs, and EOIs.
    • Work closely with the Bids & Tender team to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant submissions.
    • Maintain a database of prequalification documents, company profiles, and statutory certifications.
    • Contribute to proposal writing, pricing support, and document formatting to align with client requirements.

    Marketing & Brand Visibility:

    • Support the execution of corporate marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
    • Create marketing content, newsletters, and client communication materials as required.
    • Maintain an up-to-date digital presence across company website and professional platforms.

    Reporting & Analysis:

    • Prepare weekly and monthly business development reports, including lead tracking and conversion analysis.
    • Document lessons learned from completed bids and projects to improve future performance.
    • Support preparation of presentations and briefings for executive management and board reviews.

    Qualifications 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related fields.
    • 4 – 6 years of experience in business development, preferably in marine logistics, oil & gas, or EPC sectors.

    Technical Skills:

    • Market research and business intelligence.
    • Proposal and tender writing.
    • Customer relationship management.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.

    Business Development Lead

    Job Purpose

    • The Business Development Lead is responsible for driving Tamrose’s business growth strategy across its marine logistics, oil & gas, and energy service portfolios.
    • This role oversees opportunity development, client engagement, strategic partnerships, and bid management to achieve revenue and market share targets. The position plays a key role in identifying new business lines, managing high-value relationships, and ensuring alignment between commercial activities and the company’s long-term strategic objectives.

    Key Responsibilities
    Strategy & Planning:

    • Develop and implement Tamrose’s annual business development and marketing plan.
    • Identify strategic opportunities for expansion into new markets, service lines, and partnerships.
    • Provide data-driven insights and forecasts to guide executive decision-making.
    • Establish performance metrics and targets for the Business Development and Bids teams.

    Client & Market Engagement:

    • Lead client acquisition, retention, and account management strategies.
    • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with IOCs, NOCs, and key government agencies.
    • Represent Tamrose at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions.
    • Facilitate client feedback sessions to strengthen business relationships and service delivery.

    Opportunity Management:

    • Oversee identification, qualification, and prioritization of high-value opportunities.

    Proposal & Bid Governance:

    • Supervise the preparation and quality assurance of all commercial and technical proposals.
    • Coordinate inputs from cross-functional departments (Technical, Finance, Operations, QHSE) for bid submissions.
    • Develop pricing models and commercial strategies that align with company profitability goals.
    • Maintain a centralized database of all bids, opportunities, and outcomes.

    Marketing & Corporate Positioning:

    • Drive visibility and brand perception initiatives to position Tamrose as a preferred marine logistics partner.
    • Oversee development of marketing collateral, client presentations, and digital media strategies.
    • Coordinate internal and external communication on business development matters.

    Reporting & Leadership:

    • Present weekly and monthly pipeline reports to the Executive Management Team.
    • Track KPIs related to revenue growth, bid success rates, and client satisfaction.
    • Coach and mentor team members to build strong business development capability within the organization.
    • Promote cross-departmental collaboration to ensure smooth project delivery post-contract award.

    Qualifications 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
    • A Master’s Degree (MBA) is an advantage.
    • 8 – 10 years’ experience in business development or commercial leadership roles, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity within the oil & gas or marine logistics sector.
