Strategic NGO Leader (Advisory Role) at Advocacy for Resilience and Innovative Solutions for Youths, Women, and Children Empowerment (ARISE)

Position Overview

ARISE is seeking a visionary and experienced NGO Leader to serve in a voluntary advisory capacity.

This opportunity is ideal for a passionate development professional who wishes to give back, mentor emerging leaders, and support the growth of a new institution that is making an impact at the grassroots level.

The ideal candidate will bring strategic insight, sectoral expertise, and leadership mentorship to help ARISE grow as a holistic and sustainable organization.

• Livelihood and Agricultural Development
• Protection and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention
• Nutrition and Food Security
• Education and Skills Development
• Good governance
• Organizational Growth and Institutional Strengthening

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance in program design, implementation, and evaluation.
• Mentor and coach the Executive Director and emerging leaders within ARISE.
• Support institutional development, governance, and partnership-building.
• Offer technical input in proposal writing and project development.
• Strengthen visibility, networking, and relationships with donors and partners.
• Contribute to long-term strategy, sustainability, and systems strengthening.

Who We’re Looking For

• A development or humanitarian professional with at least 5–10 years of leadership experience in NGO management or program implementation.
• Proven expertise in one or more of the key thematic areas listed above.
• A visionary thinker passionate about coaching, capacity building, and sustainability.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and advisory skills.
• Willingness to volunteer time and expertise to nurture a growing organization.
