    General Manager - Doubletree

    • As a General Manager at a DoubleTree property, you’re not just leading hotel operations – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead with DoubleTree’s commitment to dependable hospitality:  Oversee all hotel operations to deliver warm, attentive, and thoughtful service—ensuring every guest experience is seamless, consistent, and reflective of the brand’s high standards
    • Drive performance and profitability:  Manage revenue, budgets, and cost controls to achieve financial targets while balancing operational efficiency with innovative guest experiences
    • Oversee property priorities:  Lead capital projects, refurbishments, and service initiatives to maintain operational excellence and brand alignment
    • Set and execute strategic direction:  Shape short- and long-term goals, making decisions in the best interests of the hotel, the DoubleTree brand, and Hilton’s long-term vision
    • Inspire and develop talent:  Provide visionary leadership to the executive team and all Team Members, embedding Hilton’s values and fostering a team of passionate and creative professionals

    Requirements

    • The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on leader, with a strong focus on owner relations, commercial performance, and operational excellence. 
    • To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
      • Proven experience as a General Manager in a full-service hotel environment 
      • Passion for delivering memorable guest experiences that reflect the brand promise 
      • A track record of driving innovative commercial growth, ideally with emerging or developing markets
      • Strong business acumen in budget management, revenue forecasting, and strategic planning  
      • Experience operating in emerging markets, driving performance in predominantly domestic markets while developing local teams
      • Highly visible leadership style that builds strong teams, partnerships, and networks 
      • Strong owner and stakeholder management, building trusted relationships
      • Experience leading hotel openings, conversions, or repositioning initiatives is preferred
      • Ability to establish and position a hotel as a leading market player 
      • Resilience, sound judgment, and the ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution 
      • Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent 
      • Fluency in English (spoken and written).

    Food Safety Analyst

    Job Description

    • As a Food Safety Analyst, you’re not just ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of the hotel – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

    Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

    • Conduct regular inspections of food preparation, storage, and service areas to ensure compliance with HACCP principles and food safety regulations
    • Monitor and evaluate food handling practices, temperature controls, and sanitation procedures
    • Collect and analyse food and environmental samples for microbiological and chemical contamination testing
    • Investigate foodborne illness complaints, identify root causes and implement preventive measures
    • Develop, update, and maintain food safety policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and documentation
    • Train and educate food handlers and team members on proper hygiene practices, allergen management, and food safety protocols
    • Coordinate with regulatory agencies (NAFDAC, Public Health department etc.) during audits and inspections
    • Maintain accurate records of inspections, corrective actions, training sessions, and incident reports
    • Assess supplier and vendor compliance with food safety standards and specifications
    • Stay current with evolving food safety legislation, industry best practices, and emerging food safety risks
    • Participate in food safety audits and certification processes 
    • Respond to food safety emergencies and product recalls in a timely and effective manner.

    • Must have 2-5 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance within the food industry or hospitality industry
    • Strong knowledge of local food safety requirements
    • Proficiency in food safety management systems and risk assessment methodologies
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and training purposes
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Physical ability to conduct inspections in various food production/preparation and service environments.
