    Special Need Teacher (Early Years and Grade / Secondary)

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teacher to support students across Early Years and Secondary levels.
    • The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in inclusive education, a passion for individualized learning, and the ability to foster a supportive environment where every child can thrive.
    • The Special Needs Teacher will design and deliver tailored educational programs for students with diverse learning needs, ensuring inclusion within mainstream classrooms while providing specialized support.
    • This role requires collaboration with parents, therapists, and other educators to create holistic learning experiences.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
    • Deliver engaging lessons adapted for students with learning difficulties, disabilities, or behavioral challenges.
    • Support Early Years learners with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, and speech/language needs.
    • Assist Secondary students with academic modifications, exam preparation, and life skills training.
    • Use differentiated instruction and multisensory approaches to maximize learning outcomes.
    • Monitor and assess progress, providing regular feedback to parents and school leadership.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (speech therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists).
    • Promote inclusive practices within mainstream classrooms.
    • Encourage social and emotional development alongside academic growth.
    • Stay updated on best practices in special education and inclusive pedagogy.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
    • Teaching qualification/certification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent with Special Needs specialization).
    • Minimum of 1 - 3 years teaching experience in Early Years and/or Secondary education.
    • Experience working with children with disabilities (autism, ADHD, dyslexia, intellectual disabilities).
    • Training in inclusive education strategies and IEP development.
    • Knowledge of child psychology and developmental milestones (for Early Years).
    • Subject specialization (for Secondary) combined with SEN expertise is an advantage.

    Essential Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of special education needs (SEN) across age groups.
    • Classroom management skills with emphasis on positive behavior support.
    • Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues.
    • Adaptability and creativity in lesson planning.
    • Empathy and patience to support diverse learners.
    • Proficiency in assistive technology and digital learning tools.
    • Collaboration and teamwork in multidisciplinary settings.
