We are currently looking to engage a highly competent and result-oriented Senior Specialist, HRIS & Data Analytics, with strong personal & professional integrity to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
The Senior Specialist, HRIS & Data Analytics will be responsible for overseeing the management and administration of the HRIS system, people analytics, workforce reporting, and HR data governance initiatives.
He/she will collaborate with HR stakeholders and vendors to enhance the HRIS, provide end-user support and training, and ensure
compliance with data protection laws.
He/she is expected to;
- Lead the overall administration, governance, optimization, and continuous improvement of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS), ensuring the system remains aligned with organizational objectives, operational requirements, and evolving HR strategies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HRIS policies, procedures, standards, and governance frameworks to ensure system effectiveness, data accuracy, security, compliance, and integrity across all HR functions.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement innovative HR technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency, streamline HR processes, improve data accessibility, and deliver a seamless employee experience.
- Partner with HR stakeholders and business leaders to assess current HR processes, workflows, and system capabilities. Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, efficiency improvements, and standardization, while leading the implementation of sustainable HRIS-driven solutions.
- Work closely with IT teams and external vendors to assess, design, recommend, and implement HRIS enhancements, including system upgrades, integrations, configuration changes, and the deployment of new functionalities that support business and workforce needs.
- Conduct detailed analysis of HR data, including compensation, employee classification, workforce demographics, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and benefits information. Generate actionable insights, reports, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and workforce planning initiatives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HRIS-related inquiries, troubleshooting, and user support. Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs, user guides, and knowledge-sharing sessions to ensure effective adoption and utilization of HRIS applications by HR teams and employees.
- Ensure HRIS compliance with applicable data protection laws, regulatory requirements, information security standards, and organizational policies. Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and HRIS best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Manage relationships with external HRIS vendors, consultants, and service providers, including monitoring service level agreements (SLAs), coordinating system upgrades, tracking issue resolution, and ensuring vendors deliver services in line with contractual and operational expectations.
- Participate in and lead HRIS-related projects, including new system implementations, upgrades, migrations, integrations, and process enhancement initiatives. Ensure project objectives, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and quality standards are successfully achieved.
- Administer, maintain, and continuously improve Human Resources web platforms and digital applications, including the HR Portal, Personnel Management System, and other related HR technology solutions, ensuring functionality, accessibility, and user satisfaction.
- Build and sustain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, HR colleagues, business leaders, and key stakeholders to drive alignment, collaboration, and successful execution of HRIS initiatives that support organizational goals and workforce effectiveness.
Educational and Professional Qualification(s) required for this position
- Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master\'s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HRIS administration, system implementation, or related roles, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Strong technical proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle HCM, Workday, etc.) and related HR tools commonly used in higher education institutions.
- Solid understanding of HR processes, data management principles, and HR best practices within a higher education context.
- Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and metrics generation to support strategic decision-making.
Key Performance Indicators
Maintain HRIS data accuracy at ≥ 98%.
- Achieve 100% successful delivery of HRIS projects within approved timelines and budgets.
- Maintain zero major data privacy, security, or confidentiality breaches.
- Resolve 100% of identified data discrepancies within agreed service-level timelines.
- Ensure 100% on-time submission of scheduled HR reports and dashboards.
- Provide a minimum of 4 actionable HR analytics insights/recommendations annually.
- Maintain less than 2% reporting errors requiring correction.
- Ensure timely escalation and resolution of 100% of critical vendor-related issues.
- Achieve positive stakeholder satisfaction ratings of at least 90% for HRIS support and services.
- Implement at least 2–4 HRIS process improvement initiatives annually to enhance efficiency and user experience
