Restaurant Purchasing Officer at So Fresh Neighbourhood Market

We are currently recruiting a Purchasing Officer at So Fresh Abuja. So Fresh is a healthy food company operations across Nigeria. At So Fresh, we believe food should be fresh and close to nature as much as possible, hence we create tasty, fresh, delicious healthy food options.

Job Summary: 

To carry out sourcing, negotiation, selection and buying of quality food items for the outlet at the local markets in and around Abuja.

Location: Wuse 2, Abuja

Job Description:

• Monitor supply markets and trends i.e. fresh produce/supplies price increase, shortages, changes in supply and reflect the changes in the requisition raised periodically.
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, vendors and other important details.
• Periodically receive requisition from respective outlets on the requisition days.
• Disburse outlets’ requests accordingly on the disbursement days.
• Keep records of issuing and requisition notes for reconciliation purposes.
• Ensure that all supplies purchased meet the quality standards.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure that all supply categories are delivered at the agreed time, date and quantity.
• Define the quality standard and cost of non-conformance to suppliers.
• Proactively develop and maintain good relationship with the supplier base.
• Maintain and update list of suppliers, delivery times and other terms.
• Nurture relationship with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for the company.

Requirements:

• Minimum of SSCE certification or its equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 - 3 years’ experience as a Procurement/Purchasing Officer, preferably in the Food and Restaurant industry.
• Ability to read and write.
• Working understanding of the local market terrain and techniques.
• Familiar with market trends and forecasting techniques.
• Candidate must be familiar with markets in and around Abuja.
