    Registrar

    Job Summary

    • The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University. 
    • The Registrar also serves as the Secretary to the Governing Council, Senate, Congregation, and Convocation.

    Requirements

    • Possess a minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division) from recognized University. 
    • Hold a Master's degree. 
    • Have at least fifteen (15) years of relevant post-qualification experience in University or similar institution, with at least four (4) years as a Deputy Registrar. 
    • Possession of professional qualifications and membership of relevant professional bodies will be an advantage.
    • Must not be older than 60 years at the time of appointment.
    • Have no criminal record.
    • Demonstrate strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
    • Exhibit mentorship skills and the ability to work as a team leader. 
    • Be physically and mentally fit.
    • Possess personal integrity, transparency, and the ability to command respect within the University community. 
    • Be computer literate and knowledgeable in contemporary administrative practices. 
    • Understand University governance and administration.
    • Demonstrate crisis management and problem-solving skills

    Terms of Appointment:

    • The Registrar shall serve a single term of five (5) years under terms specified in the letter of appointment. Remuneration and other conditions are as applicable in Federal Universities in Nigeria and as determined by the Federal Government and University Governing Council.
