QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) Engineer at Dutum Company Limited

About the Role:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA/QC Engineer to join our team in Abuja.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction and engineering activities meet both internal and external quality standards, regulatory compliance, and client expectations.
• The ideal candidate must reside in Abuja and have a strong background in quality assurance and quality control within the construction or engineering sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor QA/QC procedures and inspection plans.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to ensure adherence to project specifications, standards, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors, and contractors to resolve quality-related issues.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation such as test results, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
• Monitor and control materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with project standards and specifications.
• Participate in internal and external quality assessments.
• Assist in training site staff on quality requirements and best practices.
• Liaise with clients and consultants regarding quality issues and corrective actions.
• Provide input into project risk assessments from a QA/QC perspective.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or building.
• Minimum of 3 years of QA/QC experience in the construction or engineering industry.
• Must be resident in Abuja.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, codes of practice, and QA/QC measures.
• Proficiency in quality inspection techniques and tools.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and report writing skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and codes.
• Certification in QA/QC, ISO, or relevant quality management systems is an added advantage.
