Project / Site Engineer (Infrastructure) at X-Force Engineering Limited

Job Summary:

The Project/Site Engineer (Infrastructure) will oversee the day-to-day execution of civil infrastructure works on assigned X-Force Engineering Limited project sites, including roads, drainage, earthworks, utility installation, and other estate infrastructure scopes. The role requires a hands-on engineer with strong infrastructure construction experience, capable of interpreting engineering drawings, supervising contractors and labour, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards, and driving projects to completion within schedule and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Supervise and coordinate day-to-day infrastructure works on site, including road construction, drainage systems, earthworks, kerbing, and utility installation.
• Interpret civil engineering drawings, BOQs, and specifications, and ensure works are executed strictly in accordance with approved designs.
• Set out works on site using survey instruments and coordinate with surveyors to confirm levels, alignments, and grades before and during construction.
• Monitor and supervise contractors, artisans, and site labour to ensure productivity, workmanship quality, and adherence to project timelines.
• Conduct routine quality checks and material testing (e.g., compaction, concrete works, asphalt laying) to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Track project progress against the work programme and promptly escalate delays, risks, or resource constraints to the Project Manager.
• Prepare and maintain daily site reports, progress reports, material reconciliation records, and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics to ensure timely availability of materials, plant, and equipment required for site works.
• Liaise with consultants, sub-contractors, and relevant regulatory bodies on infrastructure compliance and approvals.
• Identify and resolve technical issues arising on site, escalating complex design-related matters to the design office where necessary.
• Enforce strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
• Participate in project and client site meetings, providing accurate technical updates on infrastructure works.
• Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Project Manager, Chief Technical Officer, or Management from time to time.
