    Project Manager

    Job Overview

    • The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects according to deadlines and within budget.
    • This role involves coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan, while ensuring that all project requirements are met and that risks are managed effectively throughout the project lifecycle.

    Key Responsibilities
    Project Planning and Initiation:

    • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Develop detailed project plans that outline tasks, milestones, resource allocation, and budget requirements.
    • Identify and document project requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

    Team Leadership and Coordination:

    • Assemble and lead a project team, clearly communicating roles and responsibilities.
    • Facilitate regular project meetings, track progress, and adjust plans as necessary.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting a collaborative and positive work environment.

    Budget and Resource Management:

    • Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring resources are used efficiently.
    • Coordinate with finance, procurement, and other departments to secure necessary resources.
    • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring the project stays within the approved budget.

    Risk Management and Problem Solving:

    • Identify potential project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
    • Manage issues as they arise, proactively finding solutions to keep the project on track.
    • Maintain a risk and issue log, reporting on mitigation efforts and outcomes.

    Stakeholder Communication:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular status updates and progress reports.
    • Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and presentations to senior management and external clients.
    • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment of project objectives with business goals.

    Quality Control and Compliance:

    • Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Oversee the completion of work to satisfy contractual agreements and industry standards.
    • Implement project review processes to assess and improve project outcomes.

    Project Closure:

    • Oversee the formal closure of the project, ensuring all objectives have been met and deliverables accepted.
    • Facilitate a post-project evaluation to capture lessons learned and document best practices.
    • Prepare a comprehensive project closure report for review by stakeholders.

    Qualifications and Requirements
    Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
    • A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) is an advantage.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a related field.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing projects from inception to completion.

    Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello) and standard office applications.
    • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management techniques.

    Soft Skills:

    • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
    • Strong leadership abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

    Other Requirements:

    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
    • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
    • Willingness to travel, if necessary, to support project needs.

    Working Conditions:

    • This position is primarily office-based with regular visits to project sites as needed. 
    • The Project Manager may be required to work extended hours to meet critical deadlines or resolve urgent project issues. 
    • The role demands a high level of organization, flexibility, and commitment to achieving project objectives.
