The Operations Officer supports the effective execution of credit and operational activities, including loan documentation, disbursement coordination, collateral administration, reporting, fund management, and loan monitoring. The role ensures compliance with approved credit policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements while supporting efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure clients submit complete and accurate documentation for loan approval, disbursement, renewals, and tranches.
Maintain up-to-date physical and electronic client credit files.
Confirm all approvals, loan documents, and collateral requirements are in place before disbursement.
Prepare disbursement approval requests and loan disbursement letters in line with approved limits.
Review and reconcile collateral management reports and ensure adequate collateral coverage.
Prepare stock release (Unlien) letters after confirming full coverage of loan exposure.
Review invoices from collateral managers and service providers, process payments, and update records.
Update operational and credit reports on disbursements, repayments, and matured loans.
Prepare and submit credit reports to Credit Bureaus and Credit Central.
Monitor loan maturity dates, issue repayment reminders, and notify clients of applicable penalties.
Support recovery efforts through accurate record-keeping and escalation of delinquent accounts.
Monitor account balances and support placement or liquidation of call deposits as required.
Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution of client requests.
Support operational reviews, process improvements, and other duties assigned by Management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
1–3 years’ experience in credit operations, loan administration, banking, or financial services.
Working knowledge of lending procedures, documentation, and reporting.
