Purpose of Activity / Assignment:

• A consultant is required to provide technical oversight and support to the YAaH Naija knowledge management community of practice.
• Under the supervision and guidance of the Health Manager (AYP Lead), the consultant shall be responsible for providing technical guidance required for knowledge management, and development of knowledge products, including the roll-out of the YAaH Naija study protocol

Scope of Work

• The consultant shall provide technical oversight to the YAaH Naija community of practice while collaborating with key actors and stakeholders to support documentation and knowledge management.
• Specifically, the consultant shall provide technical support in the implementation of priority elements of the YAaH Naija M&E plan namely the YAaHNaija study including capacity strengthening of the team, monitoring, and documentation of the various components of the study.
• The technical support provided shall strengthen the capacity of the community of practice and the YAaH Naija platform to provide AYP programming guidance beyond HIV programming.

To Qualify as an Advocate for Every Child you will Have

• An Advanced University Degree (Master's or higher) in Public Health, Medicine, Community Psychology or Medical Anthropology 
• At least 10 years of relevant experience working at the intersection of global/public health, experience in research in HIV and AIDS, hands-on experience in support of national systems in the conduct of surveys,
• High-quality analytic, report writing, and documentation skills; development of abstracts, research manuscripts, and policy papers.
• Capacity building, facilitation, and technical team leadership.
• Flexibility and ability to work virtually.
• Self-driven, able to under tight schedules meeting tight deadlines, and provide detailed regular feedback
• Experience in planning and managing technical meetings/workshops and engagements with governments, implementing partners, donors, and young people.
• Knowledge of UNICEF and UN language, protocols, branding, and publication standards.
• Proven ability to manage complex, highly sensitive, and high-visibility partnerships on a public trust basis
• Strong ability to work in multisectoral and/or inter-agency context and excellent coordination skills are essential.
• High level of initiative and ability to navigate challenges in prioritization to complete tasks and deliverables in a timely manner is essential.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
