    Mobilization Officer

    Purpose of the Job 

    Assist the Revenue Mobilisation, Monitoring & Assurance Supervisor in developing and implementing strategies that can help attain collection targets.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities 

    The Mobilization Officer shall therefore be responsible, but not limited, for the following:

    • Minimize collection losses and implement strategies to improve revenue collection within the organization. 
    • Carry out revenue collection/ cash drive activities.
    • Assist with ensuring revenue mobilization resources are adequate and effective.
    • Ensure implementation of payment plans reached with debtors 
    • Bill distribution to customers and reporting. 
    • Periodic assessment and review of all payment channels across the network.
    • Review, assessment and monitoring of disconnection activities within the network.
    • Ensure relevant units possess the right reports required to drive collection.
    • Assist with the development and implementation of a robust debt recovery strategy.
    • Identify collection gaps and recommend strategies for mitigating collection risks. 
    • Comply with Quality Management System / Operational Health & System.
    • Prepare periodic reports for the attention of the Revenue Monitoring and Mobilization Assurance Supervisor.
    • Carry out any other duties as requested by the Revenue Monitoring and Mobilization Assurance Supervisor.

    Minimum Educational & Professional Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge

    • First Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration Accountancy, Banking & Finance or a related field.
    • Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). 
    • Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in the Electricity Supply Industry.
    • Full Membership of a Relevant Professional Body.

    Attributes and Competencies 

    • Knowledge of NERC collection regulations and guidelines.
    • Strong financial and business acumen.
    • Report writing skills.
