  • Production Technician (Dehydration Specialty)

    ​​Position Overview

    ​As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, and routine maintenance of our industrial dehydration equipment (including tray dryers, belt dryers, and freeze-drying systems). Your primary focus will be to ensure optimal machine performance, maintain strict food safety standards, and achieve production yield targets while minimizing waste.

    Key Responsibilities

    Equipment Operation & Monitoring

    • ​Operate, monitor, and adjust industrial food dehydration systems according to product specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • ​Monitor critical control points (CCPs) such as air temperature, humidity levels, air velocity, and drying times to ensure correct moisture content and product quality.
    • ​Perform pre-startup inspections and calibration of dehydration equipment before each run.

    Quality Assurance & Food Safety

    • ​Strictly adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP guidelines, and company food safety standards.
    • ​Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials entering the drying cycle and finished dehydrated products (testing moisture, texture, and visual appearance).
    • ​Document and log all process parameters, production yields, and quality deviations in the batch records.

    Maintenance & Troubleshooting

    • ​Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) on dehydration equipment, conveyors, slice cutters, and sorting machinery.
    • ​Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues swiftly to minimize production downtime.
    • ​Partner with the maintenance engineering team for complex repairs or system overhauls.

    Sanitation & Safety

    • ​Execute clean-in-place (CIP) and manual sanitation protocols for dehydration chambers, ducts, and food-contact surfaces.
    • ​Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (5S standards).
    • ​Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strictly follow all occupational health and safety guidelines.

    Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

    • ​Education: A Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor of Science or Technical diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Food Processing Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
    • ​Experience: Minimum of 2 – 10years of experience operating industrial machinery, ideally within a food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
    • ​Direct experience operating industrial dehydration systems is strongly preferred.
    • ​Knowledge: Familiarity with Food Safety systems (HACCP, SQF, BRC, or ISO 22000) and GMP standards.
