Merchant and Customer Acquisition Specialist at Helppo Africa Limited

Job Description:

We are seeking a driven and experienced Merchant Acquisition and Customer Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring and onboarding merchants to our e-commerce infrastructure, and ensuring they accept our payment method in their store. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for acquiring customers who are interested in investing in short-term deposits with monthly interest payments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify potential merchants and engage with them to explain the benefits of our ecommerce infrastructure and payment method.
• Lead the onboarding process for new merchants, providing them with training and support to ensure they understand how to use our platform.
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales strategies and promotional activities to attract more merchants.
• Develop relationships with existing merchants to ensure they are satisfied with our services and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
• Identify potential customers who are interested in investing in short-term deposits with monthly interest payments.
• Develop and execute marketing campaigns to attract customers to our short-term deposit product.
• Collaborate with the product team to ensure that our short-term deposit product is competitive in the market.
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure that customers are satisfied with our short-term deposit product and consider us for future investments

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in merchant acquisition, customer acquisition, or related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify market trends and customer needs.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals.
• Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently.
