Marketing Officer at West Africa Vocational Education (WAVE)

Our client, a fast-growing bridal fashion brand in Lagos specializing in stylish ready-to-wear and bespoke bridal outfits, is seeking a proactive and results-driven Marketing Officer to promote the organization’s services, identify and engage potential clients, strengthen brand presence, lead generation and drive sales growth. This role requires excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, and relationship-building abilities to create impactful campaigns, influencer collaborations, and generate new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, sales, and expand the client base.
• Identify and pursue collaboration opportunities with influencers, stylists, event planners, and lifestyle brands.
• Be in tune with wedding bridal, fashion, luxury and retailer landscape and identify opportunities to to further drive the business
• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
• Manage influencer marketing campaigns from ideation to execution and reporting.
• Represent the brand eloquently at events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
• Generate leads through cold calls, warm calls, networking, referrals, and email campaigns.
• Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, and other promotional materials.
• Monitor and evaluate marketing campaign performance, adjusting strategies as necessary.
• Oversee social media activities in collaboration with the digital team to ensure cohesive brand storytelling.
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, design) to ensure consistent branding and client engagement.
• Prepare and present regular marketing reports, including sales pipelines and campaign effectiveness.
• Ensure all marketing activities comply with brand’s policies and relevant regulations.
• Troubleshoot and solve customer/vendor issues in partnership with admin and customer service manager
• Track vendor pricing, service levels, and offerings to help the business stay competitive
• Communication of accounts payable and receivable to account department

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
• 2-3 years of relevant marketing experience, preferably in the fashion or retail industry.
• Proven experience in influencer marketing and brand collaborations.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; eloquence is a must.
• Ability to represent the brand professionally at events and public functions.
• Creativity and an eye for fashion trends and aesthetics.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and MS Office Suite.
• Experience in PR, event planning, or fashion shows.
• Knowledge of fashion retail dynamics and customer engagement strategies.
• Existing network in the fashion and lifestyle industry (a plus).
