    Legal Officer

    Job Description

    • As a Legal Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing legal support and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
    • You will work closely with various departments to manage legal risks, draft and review contracts, and provide sound legal advice on a range of issues.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
    • Provide legal advice and support to various departments on a wide range of legal issues.
    • Ensure the company's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
    • Conduct legal research and keep up to date with changes in legislation.
    • Manage and resolve legal disputes and issues in a timely and effective manner.
    • Liaise with external legal counsel and manage relationships with them as needed.
    • Assist in developing and implementing legal policies and procedures.
    • Support the preparation of legal reports and documents for senior management.
    • Handle any other legal-related tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; a higher qualification such as an LLM is a plus.
    • 2-4 years of experience in a legal role, preferably within a corporate or commercial environment.
    • Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
    • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
    • High level of integrity and professional ethics.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
