    Key Account Manager (Merchant Acquiring)

    Location: Lekki, Lagos

    Job Description

    • We are closely supporting business owners (Merchants) with access to everyday tools that simplify payments and drive business growth.
    • To this end, we are looking to hire a Key Account Manager who will be responsible for driving the business of Merchant acquiring in the different merchant sectors (Supermarket, Eateries & Restaurants, Lounge and Bar and Hotels) and overseeing the activities of the  Merchant Acquiring Officers in developing & deploring strategies to increase sales revenue.  
    • The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating long-term, trusting relationships with our merchants while overseeing a portfolio of assigned customers, developing new business from existing clients and actively seeking new sales opportunities.

    About the Role

    • Oversee, Manage and coordinate the activities of the  Merchant Acquiring Officers.  
    • Onboarding and managing key merchants in the assigned merchant segment.
    • Hit target quotas for set KPIs (Transaction value, volume, and revenue).
    • Engaging with top merchants to introduce them to our products.
    • Have a good understanding of the business's products or services and be able to advise others about them
    • Setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth.
    • Design and ensure implementation of scalable sales strategy for team members.
    • Follow up with  Merchant Acquisition Officers to ensure active and inactive merchants are visited and if need be mobilize retrieval of POS from inactive business partners.
    • Recruit, onboard MAOs and continuously improve sales processes.
    • Ensure MAOs meet up with set targets.
    • Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients.

    Key Result Areas

    • Number of new leads generated and converted for Business Expansion
    • Achievement of current Revenue Targets
    • Transaction Volume/Count of Current & Repeated Sales 
    • Customer retention rate - Lifetime value of our  Merchants
    • Marginal incremental Revenue month-on-month
    • Growth in channel sales network
    • Terminal Activity Ratio for  Merchants.

    About You

    • B.Sc / HND in Business, Marketing, and any related course.
    • Relevant prior experience of 4-6 years as Merchant Acquisition Executive in a FINTECH, or Direct Sales Executive in a commercial Bank.
    • Business Development Experience in any FMCG, Food and Drinks and Beverages.
