ILAPAK Pouching Operator – Seasoning Factory at Johnvents Foods Limited

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ILAPAK Pouching Operator to join our production team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, adjusting, and monitoring ILAPAK packaging machines used in seasoning production while ensuring accurate packaging, minimal downtime, reduced wastage, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor ILAPAK packaging machines efficiently
• Set up machines for production runs and product changeovers
• Adjust machine settings to achieve proper sealing, coding, filling, and packaging quality
• Troubleshoot minor machine faults and report major issues to maintenance
• Minimize material wastage and machine downtime
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of packaging machines and work areas
• Follow GMP, food safety, and workplace safety procedures
• Ensure proper use of PPE at all times
• Support housekeeping and sanitation activities during and after production
• Work closely with supervisors, quality assurance, and maintenance teams
• Assist production operatives during machine operation and changeovers
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity
• Carry out other duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• Minimum of OND or Technical Certification
• At least 2 years’ experience in ILAPAK or manufacturing operations
• Experience in food or seasoning production is an added advantage
• Ability to operate ILAPAK pouching machines efficiently and safely
• Understanding of machine start-up, shutdown, and safe operating procedures
• Experience with machine setup and product changeovers
• Good understanding of weighing and measurement systems
• Strong attention to detail and packaging quality standards
• Knowledge of GMP, food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures

Required Competencies:

• Ability to read and interpret batch sheets and Bills of Materials (BOM)
• Understanding of filling systems, calibration, and product flow consistency
• Knowledge of packaging quality standards and inspection procedures
• Understanding of materials reconciliation processes
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to maintain safe and disciplined operations
• Good housekeeping and workplace organization practices.
